Dvz Iphone DataViz will likely be making versions of their popular desktop software for the iPhone as soon as Apple releases the SDK in February. This means that iPhone owners will be able to create and edit Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, Powerpoint presentations and the like. DataViz seems excited to get RoadSync and Passwords Plus on the iPhone as well, but it looks like they want to gauge demand before they commit to anything. There's a page they've set up so you can pledge your intent -- they want you to seal the deal. [via]

iPhone on Rogers Dec 7?
  1. GSALO says:

It's interesting, nothing really compelling that current phones in Asia cannot do. They have had 3G and can even edit word documents, excel etc. unlike the current iPhone. The virtual keyboards on all phone models are utterly useless as you need the deftness of a 6 year old in order to properly send an SMS on the go. Proper keyboards are still the way to go if you send a lot of SMS while walking for example. Nokia E61 which I would love to get rid of but will not as the iPhone with all its features again cannot edit any office documents only read, and in our business that's utterly useless if you intend to truly be mobile. So I guess I'll wait until iphone 3.0 when editing office documents would become available. Who know what new features Nokia will add to its E series as a result of the iPhone thereby still maintaining its edge over the iPhone. Moreover, the keynote speech compared Nokia N series not the E series and its the E series that most closely resembles the iphone.

I couldn't agree more. I've retired the Nokia E61 for an iPhone and due to the frustration of not being able to edit, and sometimes not see, large excel docs am thinking of bring the Nokia back.

  3. Very nice information. Thanks for this. :)

my God, i thought you were going to chip in with some decisive insght at the end there, not leave it with ‘we leave it to you to decide’.
