Snowballs in Hell: Microsoft May Develop Software for iPhone
Fortune is quoting Microsoft VP of Specialized Devices and Applications Group (whatever the hell that is), who indicates the software giant may be open to developing applications for iPhone.
“It’s really important for us to understand what we can bring to the iPhone, to the extent that Mac Office customers have functionality that they need in that environment, we’re actually in the process of trying to understand that now.”
The thought of Microsoft software running on iPhone is sobering enough, but even more so when you consider the company's own mobile platform, Windows Mobile, competes directly with iPhone. Fear the fruit.

i almost find this a good thing... Tell you what, if they put a word processor and a way to wirelessly print on my iPhone, it would render my laptop obsolete save the need for syncing/ iTunes

Waiting for the day I can ditch the laptop and just use my iPhone. Would absolutely love more office apps, if I could just do powerpoints for my sales presentations from my iPhone I would be golden!!!
Iphones are indeed a delight and a welcome relief from windows mobile, if you are happy that they last for 3 months before the screen cracks. A new meaning is being brought to Consumable electronics.
Xbox Kinect has more distinctive technology with the controller-free Kinect, making it even more frustrating that Microsoft's own games felt more derivative compared to the third-party Dance Central. Worse still , one of the most awe-inspiring Kinect game introduced this week, Child of Eden, wasn't playable, and contains no release date announced.
