Is it ironic that the extension email was not pushed to my phone?

LOL! When your Korean, Chinese and Japanese text goes to unicode I dont think it is a user error. And it's not a user error when your data is just gone. Let's face it. Apple released a dud. I'm sure it will get up to their standard in due time but ever almighty Apple makes mistakes.

You know what? At first MobileMe didn't work for me either. I sat at my laptop and entered a bunch of contacts, sat back and waited for them to appear on my iPhone and instead they disappeared, like magic! Started cussin and hurling blame at Apple.
THEN
I went and read every single step in the excellent online help and found out I had my settings set to do exactly what it did. It wiped my new contacts out and synced my laptop to what was in the cloud. I needed to reverse the flow, reentered everything, told the CLOUD to sync with my laptop, and wow! Everything worked.
So, once I eliminated the idiot operator, MobileMe started working, and has been flawless since.
Not saying any of you have that problem, but I AM saying that a lot of people posting on these blogs have no idea how MobileMe works!
Idiot operators, get idiot results - and Apple gets the blame.

The iDisk servers are ONLY US based. Because of that iDisk is in reality unusable as a wedbased disk for us here in Europe. Until Apple does something about this I can not recommend any of us paying for MobileMe.

For someone who didn't use the .Mac service, I gave this a go. Lost contacts, calendar events, slow or no service within the first month.

No matter how many free months are given, It won't make up for this incredibly bad start. First impressions are everything! Maybe a year or two from now, but I will be on the sidelines to wait and see.

You just can't lose peoples data, or email. Period.

Had it for about month and dropped it. I kept losing contacts and calendar events. At first it supported Asian languages and then it stopped. Maybe it's back, who knows. I got tired of reentering my contacts and categories. Just very discouraging all around.

I really wanted a way to sync my data w/o using desktop software but I guess I'll have to wait.

I do have a question though. Is there an (cheap/free)exchange solution where I can sync the data from my phone to the cloud for the initial sync???? Seems like the iPhone makes you sync from the cloud first which erases all my data on the phone. I cant get iTunes to sync with Outlook 2007 for the life of me. Besides I really want to avoid using a desktop client anyways.
