Unlock your phone will allow you to use any sim card or pre payed sim cards if travel to other countries. Also i have the 3G but Dev team has not been able to unlock at this point. I jailbroke my ipod touch last night with the new Pwnage2.1 firmware i haven't yet because i am holding out for the Unlock . Also Hector there might be an error if you are using a mac after i put my touch into Dfu mode and it said successful entered DFU mode ,then i tunes popped up saying error with a red warning sign. what i did was take out the USB chord and held down the home button and re-connected the cord and then into went into the restore mode which will say Itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode you must restore . so after that i went in fine .
