Frequent user of sites like eBay, PayPal, AOL, or GEICO, paranoid about security, understand terms like multi-factor authentications, and don't want to carry a football, card-based generator, or other extra dongle around with you? If you live in the US, VeriSign has an iPhone App for you.

Verisign iPhone (VIP) Access is available for free via the iTunes App Store. If you're using it, let us know how it's working for you...

Caveat Emptor: This app ONLY works with AT&T. You can not use a legally (or illegally) unlocked phone on any other network whatsoever. And the only way you find this out as there is nothing indicating same in App Store description, is to download App, send SMS for activiation, and wait. And wait. And try again. And wait more. And then call customer service who tells you the facts. Disappointing.

This app works well in the UK. I've used it for eBay and paypal and much prefer it to carrying around the grey plastic dongle previously used. Setup was quick and easy and the app itself is easy to use. Recommended.
