I'd have to disagree. TweetMic, if interrupted by a call, will lose the recording made, and I mean completely. I've heard that if the upload gets interrupted by a weak WiFi/3G signal, then the audio is lost too. I know it's meant for Twitter, but the app doesn't give you an option to export the file for your own use, or email it to someone, or store up a bunch of audio for later tweeting. It has to be sent and used there and then.

VR+ from Shape (makes of IM+) has none of those shortcomings. You can choose from 4 or 5 quality levels/bitrates, you can upload the file to their servers, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, Blogger, or even email it to a friend. You can do all of these things as many times as you want with each recording because it saves everything in a backlog. Think Birdhouse, but for audio.

Most surprising part for me was when I closed the app in the middle of recording something... on next launch, it lets you pick up exactly where you left off and keep on going. In my book, that makes VR+ the best option for Tweetcasts right now.
