Quick App: The Sims 3 for iPhone
We'll avoid the obvious question (why live in a SIM world when you can live in the real one), and the metaphysical (maybe you're just a SIM in someone else's iPhone already...?) because, frankly, no one cares! The Sims 3 is -- finally! -- out for the iPhone and iPod touch:

is there a money cheat? What is the fastest way of making money
XprincessX - Catch fish and sell them to the market. Also, if you talk to different sims about different things, they will ask you to do things for money... If you slap Ruth for Kia, she'll give you $90, or you can sell her a catfish for $200. Nina will give you $100 for a snapper... Marvell will give you a recipe for a salmon. Also, I found that working at the city hall and being friends with Ruth helps. If you have 10 friends, Ruth will promote you all the way up to Vice President, $100 daily. Just keep asking for promotions. $300 is the most a job pays daily.
My question... I've completed all 73 goals... I heard that the pawn shop will hire you and pay $600 daily and sell you a car if you complete all goals. Is this true? I mean, I've completed everything, I have the highest house upgrade, the highest skills in cooking, repairing, gardening, and fishing. I'm Vice President at the City Hall, and I have the best of the best furniture... What now???
CaliGirl - Have you opened the pawn shop? And gotten a car? Or did you just hear that??? I have done everything but that! I even have every recipe and have a few spouses and everyone in town is my best friend! I'm ready to be a criminal for the pawn shop and have a gay looking blue crown Vic wannabe car!
I completed all the tasks and as soon as I had I got a screen telling me I had completed all the tasks and then the pawn shop was open I don't think I did any think extra other than all the tasks.
But don't get to excited about the car - all it does is instead of see yourself walking from one house to another a little car is show going there instead. I think it would of been more fun if I could move the car around with my finger.
I found one other way to discover a recipe! Keep talking to Marcel (bistro boss) about fishing - eventually he'll ask you to bring him a salmon and in exchange he'll share with you a family salmon recipe!
What's the highest paying job i can get at the Lab. I think i get like 240/day and when i ask my boss (i forgot her name) she gets angry at me. I've been looking for other jobs but they pay like 70/day.
Pooh, I'm missing 2 goals. I've used each personality, yet it still says I'm missing 2. How do i get them? Also, on the "Kick over all the trash cans in town" goal, i went house-to-house in clock rotation and kicked them all including mine. It still says I didnt kick them all. Whats up with that? I'm asking you because you seem like the expert lol
I'm new to sims and i was wondering if you could do that in app purchase thing on the stereo to get It to play your music. So can you do it yet I watched the apple event and sawed that. Also if you are at a budding relationship. Does that mean your married?

How do I unlock the last 2 goals? I've completed 71 out of 73 and used all personalities, but can't figure out how to unlock the last 2. I wanna be able to use pawn shop.
To foggers you have to be "rude" to your best friend by insulting, arguing, etc several times until her relationship with your sim starts declining to good friend then switch it up by "romance"ing her
Sasuke the 2 goal you're missing have you unlocked them or are they just not compleated.
With the trash cans it is very easy to miss one I ended up going around everyone twice as I must have missed one the first time. Make sure the goal is locked in before you try otherwise it will not count towards your main goal list.
Simsfan2 it sounds like you have done everything to unlock all the goals it would be intresting to know which 2 you are missing I think I might need to write them all out so you can check which you are missing so we can figure out why they haven't been unlocked.
G "your ego is too big for your body" means your dead. The game has a few different ways of dieing some you can prevent (like by feeding them) and some you can't (like by a monkey) but you don't need to worry you can just log back in and carry on playing from the last saved point.
Foggers I say goals, tasks and wishes as the same thing. Sorry for any confusion I also can't spell sorry.
Thanks Pooh. I already got the trash cans goal on the 4th try though. But I'm still missing 2 goals. Meaning: I have discovered 73 out of 75. I dont know which 2 im missing. Yes, I tried every personality (Jack of all Trades, Jerk, Sleaze, Maniac, Nice Guy, and the Power/ Money thing).
Sasuke - right I think what i need to do is write the whloe list out so we can find out which goals are missing so we can try to figure out why you haven't unlocked them.

I have a theory about unlocking the last 2 goals, has anyone tried discovering ALL of the traits for all of your neighbors? This might unlock the last 2 goals...worth a try
Lol! I just unlocked goal 72. "Get a job". My sim was fired and unemployed for a few days and was mooching off of my best friends for food.

To view the other sims traits, approach them then press the button on the bottom right that looks like two people. It will show 4 empty traits with ??? You have to figure them out by having different types of converations (talk about fishing, tell joke, flirt, insult, etc). Once you unleash their trait it will appear

Simsfan2 - thanks for advice on how to get the "get a job" goal to appear. I've never been fired. Now, just to figuire out how to get "try fishing" to appear. My Sims always fish right away, so I'll try creating one that doesn't.
Chuckle - yep just make a new sim for the try fishing and don't do any fishing until it apears which shouldn't take to much time.
well i have notice no one has said that when you get married with someone you can invite them over then click actions and move in and they will move in with you.
Pooh - thanks for the goals list now I know which goal I'm missing, I needed "buy a fishing kit". I usually always bought it right away and never waited for it to appear...thanks!
SUCCESS! I was finally able to unlock the final two goals and accomplish them, so I can be a criminal. Thanks Pooh and Simsfan2!
Drake - I didn't get any benefits for having someone move in, did you? I heard that in other Sims games, when someone moves is, you get their money and I got nothing. You don't have to be married for them to move in, but they have to be in your house when you ask.
I also get no benefit from the wish list after you have already accomplished that particular goal. I stopped accepting the wishes that I've already done. Does anyone know of benefits to repeating the same goals?
Simsfan2 - you're welcome. Thanks for the new challenge of discovering all the other Sims' traits. Its gonna take a long time. I've spent entire days talking to a Sim and only discovered two traits.
@Simsfan2: Omg, i got you and Pooh mixed up. My bad. I need to read the name before assuming who it is >_> Thanks. I've figured out all the traits for 1 person (my spouse). For everyone else, I've found 2 at most.

how do you create a new sim with different personalities?
Chuckie - Glad to hear your now a "criminal". I am now a "safe hacker" making $500/night. I don't think there is any benefit to repeating the goals, I also just ignore them.
Jennifer, when you load the game, rather than choosing your current Sim you create a new one. In order to unlock all the goals, you will be deleting and creating many Sims, so don't too attached to any of them.
how do you complete "own the best house" Goal? that's the only goal I have not completed
I know its probably the easiest to do but how do you stay fed, rested, clean... etc for 3 days I've tried everything and it still won't say that I've completed it... thanks in advance!
Highheels - I believe buying both upgrades causes you to own the best house. It takes time to allow both upgrades to be offered and money to buy them.
Hunniibee - yes, simply stay clean, etc. for 3 days. Not sure why it doesn't work for you. Are you making sure nothing goes in the red?

first buy the recipe, then check in the overview of what food you have, on the bottom of that list are the recipes, where you see what ingredient is needed...

Ollerich, when you ask for a raise from your boss, he or she should give you a reason they refuse. It depends which job you have as to what they want you to do before getting a raise. For example, the restaurant wants you to be skilled in cooking and fishing, I believe. One of the jobs just wants you to have more experience, so you can't get the first raise until you've worked there for two weeks. I think another job asks you to have alot of friends. I also believe you must be friends with your boss before asking for the raise. Hope this helps.

Jessica - if the person is your partner, aren't you already married to him. I believe you can marry someone who is married to someone else. You must invite the person to your house by calling them on the phone and when they get there, ask them to move in. However, I found no benefit to having a roommate.

Do you mean fiancee? As in what you are called to be the "newly wed"? Just go to Actions and you should be able to have an option that says "get married". You don't need to finance anything. I believe you mean fiance/fiancee, haha.
Just keep on flirting, telling flirty jokes, and give smooches so you can take it to the next level and be partners. That way, when you flirt, smooch, and woohoo you'll be able to propose with no problem. And when you are ready to get married, just click "get married".

in one of the posts above it says To WOOHOO you have to romance first you need a tender embrace then -hot smooch 1 to 2 times- back to romance and “scroll Down WHOO-HOO is under hot smooch. i did what it says and when i went to romance and looked for the whoohoo option under hot smooch it still hadn't been add to my romance list.
Also in one of the posts above it says To get married you have to romance and be nice ….then you get to finance and then romance some more and be nice then you can ask to get married. i did romance and be nice part but it still wont let me fiancee and give me the option ask to get married. also how do i get the person i'm dating to move in with me? i tried inviting them over but on the list it still wont give the option to ask them to move in with me. for each of my questions above can you list the steps in the order i have to do them so i can get the options that answers each of my questions. thank you very much.
Jessica - just keep doing all the romantic stuff until whoo hoo pops up on the list. I think you have to be their "date" before you can whoo hoo them.
When you are in your house, touch the phone on the wall. Ask the person to come to your house. Once they come over, touch the person and scroll down to actions. One of the actions should be to ask the person to move in.
Jessica, here are the steps in relationships. You have to continue to choose romantic options to make it to each level of romance, like flirt, etc.
Friend - must start romance from this level. If you are already good friend or best friend, be rude until you go back to friend
Budding Romance - at this level, you can smooch
Date - at this level, you can whoo hoo
Partner - at this level, you can ask them to marry you and can ask them to move in (must both be in your house before they will move in)
Fiancee - at this level, you get married
NOTE: to move in, ask to marry and get married, touch the other person and scroll down - sometimes you have to choose actions

To get someone to move in with you, they should be married, fiance, or really really best friends with you. They must have a strong relationship with you. If they are only a friend/good friend, they will get "creeped out". haha.
If you want someone to move in with you:
Go to your house.
There should be a phone inside your home, it's usually out of your bedroom door, to the left.
Invite the person over who you want to move in. (make sure your relationship with him/her is strong with you)
Talk to them, and under "actions" should be ask to move in.
They should accept, and they will live in your house.
There!
If you choose to divorce with your spouse, or want your best friend to move out, just go under "actions" again and ask to move out. (:
To get married... When you are in the stage of "date", keep on romancing to be on the "partner" level.
the ones that work best are: Hot Smooch Flirt Flirty Joke (under "be funny") Woohoo
Soon you will be "partners".
Smooch more, flirt, and woohoo.
After, it should give you an option under "Be Romantic" saying "propose marriage".
You will be engaged. Then when you smooch, and then the option will say "get married".

what i found out (am not sure if it's a bug): if you have your partner moved into your house and you still only have a cheap bed, only one can sleep on the bed. but if you watch the partner sleeping first, you can afterwards (long)sleep in the same bed too, even if the partner is already lying there...

Good for you! I'm still getting the goals...ahha. I hear there's gonna be another update in the future to have kids in the game. Hopefully it's actually true.
Ollerich - you can sleep in the same small/cheap bed without watching first. First click on a spot on the other side of bed so you are standing there. Then choose long sleep.
in order to get into a relationship, you need to start flirting once you become friends...at that point, anything romantic...and telling a flirty joke are what you need to keep doing...if you push the relationship button it will show you two different relationships happening at the same time...i.e. good friend, budding relationship...you need to keep doing romantic actions for this to change....you can have a romantic relationship with anyone, gay or straight...
How do yo reach the top of the carreer ladder? annd how do you creep-out anotther sim?

You'll have to find a couple of Sims who are married, and constantly flirt and romance one of them to make the other partner jealous.

Jessie - you have to get raises from your boss and keep getting promoted until you get the top job. Use instructions above to get raises.
a good way to save up money without bothering someone: start a romance with someone, then make him/her a partner and ask him/her to move into your house, after that, you have an empty house (where your partner lived before), use that house to eat, sleep, shower...
(i know that you can eat in any house, but like that you have the house all for yourself)
The easiest pair to make jealous is Jack and Jill, all I did was make one pass at Jack and he disliked me immediately and she was jealous.
hi i have the sims 3 app on my ipod touch so i don't know if the actions list and how you would complete the goals are set up differently in the ipod touch app then they in the game made for the computer and other game systems but i hope you can help me get past where i'm stuck at. Also i don't know if this will help you guys with my problems but i'm already at the partners stage of my relationship and am not getting the option to be fiancees with my partner or ask em to live with me or have woohoo to choose from under my romance options and tried everything you told me to before. I did everything you told me to do and have been partners for a longtime now but for some reason the woohoo option wont appear under the hot smooch option so i have it to choose from when ever i want to use it. what do i do? Also i did all of the fallowing: Go to my house, go to the phone on my wall and invite the person over who i want to move in. @Ollerich - I was unable to enter the empty house that my live in spouse used to live in. The house was always locked. How did you get in?
@Chuckie: you're right, with one of my other Sims it doesn't work, strange, with the Sim that i'm a master thief and own a car, i can just barge in...
well, was just coming to my mind: as a Thief, you probably can go into all the houses, no matter if someone is at home...

@Ollerich - its kinda cool how the game reflects life. The theif can break into houses.
@Megan - My suggestion is to read all above posts. You will get many hints including how you must create several Sims to complete all goals.

I completed all goals...i tracked them, but nothing has changed...what have I missed
the only things that are changing: you can now get a job at the Pawn Shop (earning 600$ after the promotions), and if you shop at the Pawn Shop, you can get a car...

Ollerich, I am the CEO at the Quickmart making $240 but cannot get a raise from Bernie. He does not give me a reason when I ask for a raise. Can anyone help me?

@Scott: if you ask for a raise, does Bernie react with a red minus sign? that means you cannot get more raises, normally you get a reason why you cannot get a raise, unless you reached the highest level... you always can quit the job and get another one. at the Bistro for example, you need good cooking and fishing skills, so if your cooking and fishing skills are already at 5 points, you can get a job there, and ask for a raise multiple times at the same time to reach the top of the career ladder and earn 300$
He does react with the red minus sign. If i can't give me more raises than why have I not received credit for the "top of the career ladder" goal which has been in my wish list for a very early in the game? It is the only goal i need to complete.
Scott, are you playing on an Iphone? I don't remember any job that pays in increments other than $100's. All jobs paid me $100, then $200, then $300, etc. Also, I thought CEO was the top and I would think it would satisfy the top of career goal.
As for the QuickMart, you have to work ten days for each raise. When you ask Bernie for a raise, he should tell you how many days you need to work. If he says 7/10, then you have to work 3 more days for the next raise. The Quickmart takes the longest to get raises, you may want to consider a different work place.
Luckily, even in today's economy, you can easily get a new job in the Sim's world.

to get into someones house when theyre not there, click on their back door and select open. usually the sim will walk through the house and u will be inside. it has to be an upgraded hoise though.
@pandamaster: you probably already have a job at the Pawn Shop, because then you are a thief and can go into all the houses, no matter if someone is at home and no matter through which door... for me at least it is not working to go through someones back door without being a thief...
i was best friends with jonny, but i wanted to start a romance with him. i noticed, if you're best friends, you can't go past "tender embrace" and the budding romance bar won't come up. i decided to be rude to jonny (slap, humiliate) until the bar doesn't say best friend anymore, but says friend. it's easier to create a romance with a friend than a best friend. ^_^ hope this helpsssssss =]

Do you have to occupy all 3 files with different sims with different personalities to comlete all the goals or do they just show uo on 1?? Like for jack of all trades can woohoo 8 times in 1 day show up or wat??
Fare - yes, you cannot become romantic with a good or best friend. See posts above.
Person - you will need to create different traits for each Sim to be offered all goals. I think I had to create 4 or 5. So, I had to delete a couple.
How can you get your spouse to ask you to move in???????

yes, that is for her to live with you, there is no other way around...
in the sims three (PC version) the sims can have kid. i wold like if the could have kide on the iphone version a nd also... THE PAWN SHOP WILL NOT OPEN FOR MEEEEE!!!!
