I truly don't understand why anyone would disagree with that. I think that sounds like it is something to appear a lot more closely at. what were you expecting, theNEOone? It's a phone with most of it's front being used as a screen. The first time around it's interesting. After that it's minor changes and better performance. Seriously, what would be not boring... a physical keyboard? A metall enclosure that's killing 3g reception? It should be good enough to upgrade to, if you still have the 1st generation iPhone.

I was excited about upgrading before this pic. I really hope this isn't the actual phone.

Personally, I think a front facing camera is useless, but I suppose it's an extra feature, so I'll take it....I guess.

no matter if this is real or fake. I think a black bezel and a matte finish casing are given. Not all leaks will have been fake once we know the true 3rd generation iphone. I like both changes btw, but I believe the more interesting changes are inside like speed, ff camera, etc. To all those who believe it will look cheap without the silver bezel. Well it is plastic anyway, so to me it ndver looked as particularly value enhancing. I'd rather prefer a phone that feels well manufactured (unlike G1) and functional (unlike Samsung). That is most important to me. If you want a expensive looking phone get a vertu. It is crap but it looks like the 2000 $ it costs. Just my 2 cents

Atleast this one appears to be running 3.0, most other concepts appear to run 2.x. So one step up in how legit it is compared to other leaks.

I'm calling fake on this one. I'm no electrical engineer but I don't know that they could fit the earpiece speaker that close to the top of the bezel. Isn't it a round speaker? Wouldn't the top of the speaker be jutting out of the top of the case if it were that close to the top? I could be wrong on that but it doesn't look right, why wouldn't they keep the earpiece as-is and move that tiny camera to the right side which currently has no proximity or light sensors? Also, I hope they spent their time on something that people will use on a daily basis. Video iChatting is something that I would use a couple of times per month maximum, maybe I'm the exception but are people really going to video iChat people all of the time on their phones?

Seriously, you are right, most people do NOT want to be on camera when talking on the phone for 98% of their calls.

However, teens and twenty somethings are dieing for this, as are separated families (service members) stationed far away.

Even grumpy old geezers like to talk to the grand kids once in a while.

Remember when everyone said "Who the heck needs an accellerometer in a phone? What a silly idea."

Don't count this out.

I wish this was real. Looks like the classic iPhone but a little different.

I'm actually happy they aren't drastically changing it because why change somethig that is not broken ? The design influenced many other devices over the years.

But I guess this also challenges the 16x9 iPhone concept.

I like the chrome bezzle and the shinny back. Also, can somebody explain to me how a front facing camera is at all useful for 90% of consumers? And if I can't chat over 3g then what am I supposed to use it for? Taking videos of myself and posting them to YouTube in the hopes I van become a YouTube celebrity?

If Steve Jobs makes a video camio via iChat it will have a "that was so cool" reaction, no doubt. In terms of actual usefulness I honestly can see myself never using a front facing camera. I can brag about it? Big deal.

Unless there are serious upgrades to RAM, processor and a flash... there is no point in me "upgrading".

Fake. It has the battery charging sign on. And it's just like the other pics of the matte back EXCEPT the camera is showing. So it'd have to be a photoshopped case with the camera filled in instead of hollow like the other matte backing pics.

Also if you look under the speaker you can see what LOOKS like a front facing camera

That's good (the camera part) but the whole design isn't good. Too much like the 3G and no big changes like ultra thin or unibody

its fake, this image (http://www.theiphoneblog.com/images/stories/2009/03/iphone30home_screen.png)has just been stuck over the old screen. if you look carefully, you can even see it says the batteries charging. when its blatantly not.

Well that make the third "source" showing a high-mounted speaker. It would appear that fakers are all concentrating on showing this Hi-mic.

And why is the date in the Calendar App showing Thursday the 19t, which hasn't happened since March, and more than one of these fakes have used that date as well as the 10:30 time.

And Russ, please describe how this is Boring, and how retaining the shiny bezel would make it less so.
