well i think apple's just being a bunch of athoritan bytches, dont blame it on the dev-team they're doing what they can and besides, if you had the choice would you release your software and risk your life's work being rendered useless by a bunch of athoritan bytches? I think not and all of you are being really selfish and you're not even thinking about how hard this must be for the dev-team!!!

RATS!!!

I'm in Delaware, home of tax free shopping, and was ready to pick up a new 3GS on my at out of town today, and now this news... I just really wanted the phone for the video capabilities since cycorder video fps quality is lacking!

What should I do?!?! Get 3GS with 3.0 now before firmware rev comes out? Will someone else possibly rlease a 3.0 jailbreak?

i think that it's total bs that devteam is holding back the jailbreak. I think we will soon see a jailbreak but not one provided by devteam. maybe Geohot will release an app if devteam is holding back… we will see.

First of all @D FUCK YOU, "First" enough said. Second, yes, people are acting like spoiled brats over the dev team holding back the jailbreak. It is true, they may be not getting paid for doing this and they could care less if people have an unlocked 3GS or not, but in my personal opinion, I think it's "unprofessional" per se to announce that you found a way to do something, and are gonna tell the world to do it, and then have a sudden "mood swing" and change their mind and just mess with the people that were almost counting on the 3GS jailbreak. If people want to piss on their iphones or whatever the dev team is making them think.. then let them, if they found a solution to unlock the iphones even though it will make them buggy well then, what the hell let em do it. Oh and also don't know if anyone has noticed this but, you can buy an unlocked iphone 3GS in Brazil, Italy and other countries, because it's in their constitution or something for all phones to be unlocked. A lot better then having to deal with a nation full of selfish pricks that really just wants to screw with you.. ex. Apple, why the hell do they sell the phone already locked from the manufacturing store? That's, in a way, illegal

Hell, if Apple would allow me to personalize the interface and edit notification tones such as email, I wouldn't even need to jailbreak my phone.

Piss on Apple and their draconian tightfisted grip on their hardware and software. I'm dumping my 3G when I find a suitable open-source replacement for it.....without having to jump to another network.

@Michael - yeah, the Dev Team sort of makes it sound that way. They think Apple may even find the bug themselves and fix it before the jailbreak software is released. Not surprising since they already announced it was based on the 24k exploit. As for the comments on the Dev Team's blog - yeah, it is ridiculous. People should be happy they are working on this stuff for them at all. As @patrick said - "...its one thing to want something but its another to think you are entitled to it"

That sucks, I was hoping for a jailbreak soon. I refuse to use my new 3GS until there is jailbreak. My 3G is about to sell on ebay, and I am going to be forced to use the 3GS the way it is. Oh well, whatever thr Dev team thinks is best, they aren't getting paid for it.

Wow! Read some of the comments on the Dev teams website. What a bunch of spoiled little brats. The Dev Team doesn't have to release anything ever again. Those people are acting like it's their "right" to have them jailbreak the 3GS for them.
