luk da itouch wld be nice if it had a camera because I hav a bb flip n da quality dsnt come near as da iPhones. I lyk to carry ma "ipo" ( ma wrd for ma itouch) evry wer n sumtimes der cases wer iv had a funny moment or juz sumtin I wnt to take a pic of but getn ma bb out n waitin for da camera to load up it takes a lil bit so a camera wld be nice n also da all time Internet acces wld be amazing I wld luv dat.

Hey everyone, i wanted to know what you all think of the Zune Hd. I mean, should apple have to compete with it and saturate the market. Personally, the only good features of the Zune Hd are: it has an OLED screen, and its much smaller. And the thougt of using windows makes me sick to my stomach. PLEASE RESPOND!

Im with you yomum! I think that apple did a poor job in battery life preservation. I hate having to take my usb and home charger with me when i go to work. So if they could just change that error, and add a built in camera, id be first in line at the apple store.

I have an ipod touch 2nd Generation, and the only thong i wished it had is an built in camera. If they were to give the ipod touch an camera, i would switch over in an heratbeat. Simply because i like being up-to-date with all of the new technology.

i have heard that the ipod touch 3rd gen is being released on 22nd of september, it should have a 3.2 mega pixel camera, hopefully it will have VOIP capabilities for skype plus inbbuilt GPS. better battery life would be awesome. i would rather better battery life(and i mean REALLY good battery!) then camera though. please respond

It would be a good idea to add cameras on the touch. But definately not the nano. That would be a very bad buisness decision by apple.

Hey Dexter. There's one more thing that'd distinguish da iPod from da iPhone if it gets a camera. That'd b called a "cell phone." And "GPS." And "3G." It's a good idea to add cameras to iPods, and I'm sure that most people will agree.

I think it would be really cool to add a camera to an iPod. (Take pics from your iPod Touch and automatically upload it to Facebook or something ) Obviously it won't be much closer to an iPhone. I mean, why not? It'll revolutionize iPods and MP3s, just like how the iPhone did.

Man, camera + iPod = love. But that's it, no GPS, no compass, Just add the camera. 3G on a Touch would be ridiculous, it makes me laugh when I see people wanting that. What I WOULD want though, is file transfer (pictures, videos, bookmarks) through the new (I lol'd at apple's move on that one) Bluetooth. (btw, I don't have the 2nd iPod Touch, so if it CAN do that, my bad) Anyways, the oleophobic would be super duper nice as well. Let's all dream for the day that the OLED screen comes to apple.

A camera on the new touch would be great. As far as 3G is concerned, it will never be placed in an iPod. 3G is basically renamed as HSDPA or high speed data packet access. Therefore it will only be contained on iPhone nor 3G capable devices. iPod touch will only run on wifi which is different than 3G btw. The iPod nano getting a camera? Personally that is a waste of company money. It is just more suitable with the touch in my opinion. It would also be senseless to put a camera in the nano cuz it doesnt or will not have internet to send the pix n flix.

I'd be for an iPod touch with camera. No need gps & compass. 3G would be great but that might make it too close to an iPhone.

Just add the camera (stills & vid) & mic. Skype, etc can fill the gap if needed. Nice!

@icebike amen, Im 16 and I only work like 2-3 days a week minimum wage, I can't afford an iPhone! Lol and my phones camera sucks and I don't have Internet or wifi on it so I can't upload any photos to computer or Internet, plus @Dexter iPod touch users are missin a huge thing that the iPhone has... It's called Internet everywhere AKA 3G! So to all you who say putting a camera on iPod touch isn't a good idea please count everyone in your views...

@mister eekpod there are plenty of apps in the store that do not require online access for GPS as the maps come with the app. Because of this, it does make sense to give iPod touch GPS... But I honestly hope they don't!

I've had this discussion with a friend before. I just don't see the real life application of this. If I have a phone, Flip, or actual camera...

And already have a iPod Touch....

What would make me want to switch over?

I could see this being a nice lil gimmick to draw in new customers...but lets face it. If you wanted an iPod...you most certainly already have one... Apple has always worked on having current customers upgrade from former hardware while attracting a nice amount of new customers, but not that much.

Yes, I agree, it only makes sense to put a camera on the next ipod touch. Which means they would also need to add a built-in mic for Video recording and Voice Memo. It all makes sense. Digital compass, maybe, And I bet they'll thrown in the olephobic coating too. But I dont think they would include gps, unless its one that does not require 3G. Hope they make the battery run longer and cooler also..

I don't think it would be a good idea for the iPods to get cameras. There is really nothing to distinguish them from iPhones, then. It may make monetary sense, which is usually all companies care about nowadays, but brandwise I don't think it is very smart.
