I have definitely been waiting for this. I use my iDisk to store files and already use the "share" feature on my Mac so people can download my files from my iDisk at their convenience. Being able to do this from anywhere via my iPhone would be an awesome thing. I hope Apple releases this soon.

Couldnt care less. Not while iDisk from the desktop is so painfully slow.

For the record though, I do like mobile me and all it provides, just not iDisk.

MobileMe is a little rough at 99/yr but I was able to find it a 3rd party site MacPro.com or some such) for just under $60. It definitely feels worth it at that price .... especially if you use a mac instead of PC ... lots of useful integration with the iApps. I'm dying for an official iDisk app.

How anti-climatic. I've been waiting for this app for ages and I think that we're being strung along by these fools. Between AT&Ts service and Apple's blunders, it's getting old. I feel like an idiot for paying all these years for mac.com/mobile me. Apple are you listening? If you are not careful, people will turn on you like we are turning on AT&T.

I want this so bad! It's completely crazy I had do buy an app to get access to my iDisk on the go! MobileMe is awesome and well worth the money. I'm about to upgrade to the family plan.

Or they could just give us mobile finder, but even I know that'll never happen.

I'd love to be able to mail a copy of my resume from my iPhone. I can fwd a copy and spend several minutes with the backspace button deleting previous fwd text. I am not interested in paying $100 a year to do this.

You can actually use your iPhone/iPod Touch as a USB hard drive if you just want to move files around.

So, using Air Sharing is useful if you want to ACCESS documents on the phone, and presumably the iDisk app will be the same thing except it lets you access your iDisk, which isn't the same thing as Air Sharing.

This would be a great app if we could: 1) Edit iWork docs 2) Publish items to iWeb websites from the app or if there were a companion iWeb mobile app.

When those two things happen, then MobileMe will truly be mobile!

I still find it absurd that I either have to pay for a separate Air Sharing app or (would in the future) have to subscribe to MobileMe for $100/year just to have some way to get my files onto my phone.

The ability to sync files during a direct connection (i.e., the function I believe Air Sharing does) should have always been a free built-in feature.

I do not have mobile me as me and my wife do not want to pat $200/year.

I'm sure there will be free or less fee alternatives to come. DroBox is a good alternative for sending large files with links. An app is being created and should be released soo .

Nor me. I believe mobileme is so over priced, google apps has lot more features. Apple really should open its platform more to 3rd party apps. Attaching files to an email from the iphone is the demand of time, that too without mobileme.
