Seriously how ignorant are TIPB readers? Notice I said ignorant not stupid. Any business student could tell you it's HIGHLY ILLEGAL for competeing companies to share board members! It's also very funny how the FTC has all but officially dropped the anti trust charges. I wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that one Dr. Eric Schmidt is a huge contributer to the Obama administration. Not like he's a member of President Obama's transition advisory board. He never joked about getting a huge tax break! Oh and let's not forget that his great buddy John Doerr is on the President's Economic Recovery advisory board, but those two never do business together. They are rivals remember! Crooks! Funny how people are so willing to just over look these huge over sights and blatant abuses of the LAW!

But these are honorable men! They surely have no connection at all to one Michael Moritz! Oh and the three have no ties to Al Gore Jr. Or the current administration. These are all honorable men! There is no connection at all between Apple, Google, and Amazon!

I believe in the long run that this was a great move for Apple. This is why I believe in them. If they didn’t think having GV or other Apps in their store would be appropriate then be it.

This is simply Apple being Apple. They want control of everything...the hardware the software....everything. Hell, I can't even change the email tone on my phone unless I jailbreak it. That's just freakin' ridiculous!

Being a year out from the end of my contract, I'd love to get out from under Apple's thumb but I've yet to see anybody rise to the occasion. And before anybody says it, the Pre isn't the answer, nor is Sprint.

The HTC Hero looks nice however the product tour on their site didn't show if the phone could do landscape multimedia stuff. It will be really interesting if this phone lives up to it's hype. And if it's only for Sprint, it could be the best phone ever and I wouldn't want it.

In as much as Tim Cook should be on the Apple board replacing an outsider with an insider is probably a bad idea. There have to be outsiders in the technology business that can also add some much needed perspective.

I just got turned on to the HTC Hero myself. When my current iPhone plan is up (1.2 years to go before upgrade status is available) I’ll have to think hard about that device (especially if there is a new, faster version of it). Three things will make my decision easier, 1) AT&T’s pricing plans and policies for all things iPhone (still higher and more restrictive than other devices), 2) Apple’s policies (nuff said I think), 3) UI and OS changes on the iPhone (gotta love those home screen widgets and better contact integration with the cloud on the Hero)

and yet, it seems.. most still believe that AT&T killed those apps, not apple.

Apple needs to realize.. people actually, for the most part.. love the iphone, but if they keep acting like a power hungry company, that feels entitled to our money.. I may have to reconsider my cell phone device.
