guys stay current in the tech news... adobe had a big stand off with apple about flash... HTML 5 is the future. The iPhone and the iPad will NEVER have flash lol... don't get your hopes up or other hopes up... HTML 5 can do what flash can do and more... Flash will exclusively be for animations (an translated into html 5 for mobile).

just a friendly reply for the non-tech savy people out there... research people before you start shouting out things.

Hello Please allow Bluetooth transfer, from phone to phone on iphone 3gs.its really sad a phone like iphone 3gs doesn’t allow you to send photos videos and music using Bluetooth transfer future, all phons got it, even the old crappy ones, so why not iphone 3gs? I know what you going to say, you will say we blocked it because of piracy on music videos photos games apps ringtones, downloaded from iTunes, well is it that hard to encrypt the content downloaded from iTunes? i don’t think so. You can stop us from transferring content downloaded via iTunes and app store, but you have no rights to stop us, from transferring our own content like videos photos to our friends via Bluetooth transfer future. You realise by not allowing Bluetooth transfer, you are encouraging iphone users to jailbreak their phones, and in other words you are supporting piracy. Also about custom ringtones? What’s up with that? All phones out there allow us to set songs videos as our ringtone, so why not iph one 3gs? Do you really call this a SMART PHONE??? It doesn’t even allow GIFS animated pictures. also NO FALSH ??? we need flash player. I am so sad and disappointed that i got i phone 3gs,i should have gone with Nokia N97. Have a good day apple. Ok, what's so hard about custamizing you're home screen to the pictures from your photo livery and camera pics?? All the other non-smartphones can do it! He'll even some of tj ancient phones do it! And let's face it, it's not the best homescreen in the world, it's got a GREY taskbar, GREY! I mean come on, what were you smokin when you disided to use that colour? And don't try to tell me it matches the 'theme' of the phone, because it looks to me like the theme is black and whight, and let me rltell you something, just because grey is in the middle of black n whight doesn't mean it goes with it. Anyway, I'm kinda gettin off th subject here, the thing is the phone is suppose to be about being able to have freedom but in soo many cases it ristrcts you from many many things, like the wallpaper, it doesn't make you feel like you have a phone of you're own because if you look at someone elses iPhone, you'll see exactly the same thing on there's . I'd also like to see the ability to turn OFF the landscape sensor for messaging. It's impossible to type a message while you are lying on your side with the iPhone because putting the phone on its side just put the keypad into landscape view.

I use to use my old classic iPod as an external harddrive, and I could back up all my photos and docs, I relied on it. I was extremely disapointed when I discovered my iPhone would not do this, and I don't see any reason why it should not be able too. I also moved away from a city to the mountains. According to At&t, there is supposed to be an update back in August to bring 3g service, yet it's no where to be found. The data plan I pay to AT&T each month is completely useless. AT&T only response is that I'm in a contract and I must pay for the service even if it's not working. I would really like to see the iPhone be available on multiple carriers, maybe it can help AT&T lighten their load. More than likely when my contract is up, Ill switch carriers after being w/ AT&T for 10 years, and i'll just get an iPod touch, any other carrier will let you teether the Internet service you pay for, for the phone you are carrying. I love how I pay $30 a month for a data plan, that can't even push pandora radio at work....

Apple is still not giving us full advantage over the iPhone Platform. I realise that you have to add up "Memory & power usage" when designing the OS but there still should be a better OS then whats out now. Apple should give us an option of an advanced platform or standard or if features are going to hog power or memory what about been able to turn them off when not needed? I also too realise that Apple is trying to keep things simple thats great but what about us pro user's? There is so much improvement that can be done but for what ever reason it's not here. I've tried jailbreak but I lost trust in it and stopped using it cause of many things. I like my iPhone 3GS 32GB but I wish I had more features and control over it.

Perhaps a DROID is a better choice?

Although, maybe not: I bought a Droid, and looks like I'll have to stick with the iphone and hope they fix the limited search issue in calendar, which is very important to me. The droid fails to perform most things I do on the iphone as well as the iphone does them. some things taking a lot longer: like the complicated text editing on the droid. Or the fact that the light sensitivity on the supposedly better camera is much worse than the iphone camera, but since it has a flash, this mainly shows up in movies taken inside where the light isn't bright. movies don't use the flash The droid camera is also very slow; slow to take pics, slow to store them. Forget about taking 3 quick pics of your 1 year old child learning to walk, if using the Droid.

Final note: APPLE, PLEASE FIX THE IPHONE SO WE CAN SEARCH BACKWARDS IN CALENDAR AS FAR AS WE WISH!! thank you.

is anyone aware that the search feature in iphone calendar only searches backwards one year? a rolling one year. I confirmed this is true on 2 other iphones at apple tech support. so, I'm assuming it's true for every iphone with 3.0 and 3.1 since they did not fix it on the 3.1 update.

Password protection for messages. People often get a hold of my phone and snoop through my photos and text messages. It'd be nice if the boys at the office DIDN'T see the mushy txt messages between me and my missus!
Ability to move photos between albums
Better Bluetooth interface. My Motorola S9 headsets works great with it but the buttons on either side are useless. Would be nice to get those working so I can take calls without having to get my phone out, and also control my music.

I Would like a built in "BASIC" interpreteter, to be able to write small local apps / games / utils and share those between iPhone users!

It would be nice with some kind of local programming utility.....

Another nice thing would be a good Chat/IM client built in from the beginning, compatible with IM/IRC/Yahoo/Google etc....

What i'm really are missing is a built in backup utility for calendar & contacts, Mail etc, to get rid of the need for a client to sync with!

I Want to use the iPhone as a standalone tool, with a free secure backup solution.

Also there is a urgent need to update the hadling of mail attachements in the iPhone! IT MUST BEABLE TO import the .cal (Calendar request attachments) to the built in calendar by default.....

Phone call log management. I think all other phones in the world allow you to edit you call log. This should be the simplest to do on Iphone. Should have been there from day one. I don't want to have delete ALL my calls.

3.2 iphone update should definitely include the follow, especially with its huge rival and competitor Motorola droid.

1) Customization (more than just moving around the icons and such!- Iphone was built for this but just the software on the iphone could just be soo much better! you say the iphone is starting to get boring and a dull look to its appearance)

2) Better Notification system (needs to have more than just pop up notifications. The Iphones top bar is pretty crowded so its hard to have icons but a great idea would to have a pull down menu from the top that shows you all of your notifications and such just like the motorola droid)

3) Multitasking (now this would be a great function but I put this as last because its not really a necessary function. Since the feature notifications came out from the last update, this sort of takes care of this and isn't really a problem especially with the 3GS with booming speeds!)

To the people who suggested Zoom, Apple can only program a digtal zoom, which is shite. However Apple, can program filter effects, time delay, and a "touch anywhere on screen to take" function for self-portraits.

To the people suggesting using their own songs as ringtones, Apple won't do it because they are currently making money off the douche bags that pay to enable songs they bought off itunes to work as ringtones.

To Everyone, i'd like to see the home button shortcut being more customizable, iChat or something similar, and most of all bug fixes, including (in the case of my iPhone) the totally shit "slide to power off" function.

Where are SMS/mms delivery reports? There should be a toggle in the settings. Manually adding a code to a txt is a joke for such an advanced phone!

A good notification system. I would love to set how my times it vibrates for a text and for an email. This is something Apple should seriously take from Blackberry. The ability to set how it notifys you for what kind of message. i.e. Different alerts for SMS, MMS, email, IM, "level 1 messages", VM. It would also be nice to see a little icon on the top row by the signal strength or clock to let me know I have emails, voice mail, SMS, etc.

if someone msgs my iphone the message doesn't go to the top of the list anymore, you gotta go look through all ur messages to see who text u, before weither u recieved a text or sent a text it went to the top of the list.
