Quick WebApp Update: Google Wave Goes Beta
Google's "Email 2.0" service, called Google Wave was announced back at the I/O conference, and has now entered a limited beta (in terms of number of people invited, no telling how long the service itself will be in beta).
Google Wave is an online tool for real-time communication and collaboration. A wave can be both a conversation and a document where people can discuss and work together using richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.
Since Steve Jobs probably isn't getting an invite anymore, if Google -- or anyone else -- has any to spare, please send them TiPb's way and we'll happily pick up the iPhone testing slack. (Shameless, yes. Joking, not one bit).

I got an invite and I didn't apply till the nite b4... -yeah buddy
i loathe you jonar1us.
I got an invite and activated - the kicker is that you can only wave with other wavers - not you're regular contacts
I hate you too Jonar1us! I applied less than a month after I/O and was denied! If this takes off, it will change the Internet permanently. How exciting!
@psudoc64: I think it is obvious you will only be able to wave someone else that is using wave. You can't exactly give everyone elses mail service wave capabilities just because you are sending them a message using wave. That is just silly.
Until you (or somebody) makes a bot that can receive email and interface with an online address book, that is...
I'd love an invite! Please?

I was fortunate enough to get a dev account with them. So I am allowed to invite people as said in googles offical blog. Ill be hitting up the TiPB guys.
Characterizing Wave as email, (even in jest) is just wrong on so many levels.
