oh and the iphone screen looks like crap once you've used the droid screen, but its a friggin phone the resolution is not that important. you shouldn't be watching a lot of movies on your phone its bad for your eyes. But The droid screen is pretty sweet. so throw in a nicer screen for the hell of it. and speed up the wifi my droid searches quicker with wifi oddly enough

OK I have been an iphone junky since the 3g came out I love it... especially my old 3gs I never thought I could live without it. We decided to move our plan over to verizon (not my choice) because ATT does not get the best signal in our house and the wife couldnt stand it. Plus well face it ATT sucks as do all US carriers. Anyway I have a droid now I love it it's an ugly bastard and i will admitt it does have the iphone beat in so many ways. the OS just does not feel as solid as the iphones. and the look of the iphone is so much cleaner. i cant live without the multitasking now, and the notifications thing gets pretty annoying its tedious. Apple needs to open up their OS meaning a home screen for customization and much more. and jailbreaking it is just not good enough, then the phone resets all the time or at the very least boots you out. The droid is a sick phone. the marketplace sucks but will be better than apples once quality developers start releasing their stuff. I'm not a fan boy of either I'm a phone junkie. I cant stand ppl that jump on to get a rise out of people and say something is better. droid has a lot of work to do on their OS. and honestly unless apple has a weapon up their sleeve the android OS will become the industry leader. I'm sure apple does have a weapon tho. The iphone is solid and just needs a few tweaks. Better speaker, better multitasking than what is offered with jailbreaking, home screen, open development, and a flash camera, the droids camera does not have a very good lens the iphone takes better pictures in the day. However video quality on the droid rocks. but also. i know this isnt the right thread to be saying this but. the droid is not an iphone killer but it is damn close. I miss my iphone some nights. but it really really really needs a better carrier, and a better theme, and multitasking.

Sorry my last post did not render well for mobile viewing. Re posted.

Hi actually I am an iphone 3gs user and I
voted for none of the above mentioned improvement.
I am not too techie so that might be the reason
why I don't seem to view these features as important.
Anyway, here are my non techie reasons in no
particular order:

The current screen on my iphone seems really
sharp already. Sometimes the words on websites
are quite hard to read in portrait mode as they
can be a little small and so I prefer to read
them in landscape mode. So will I do understand
that with a higher resolution screen we can achieve
ever sharper text and images, I figured that higher
pixel count also would require more processing power
to push. Also with bigger native screen resolution,
we would require higher quality videos which would
take up a bigger amount of storage space on the
device. At this moment everything already looks
very pretty on the screen and I can't see a reason
to push more pixels, use more power, waste more
storage for a very small improvement visually.

I would like to see an improvement with the
camera but not with the mega-pixel count rather
I would prefer if they kept the count at 3 and double
or triple the CCD sensor size. This will really help
with the actual capturing of light thus improving
picture quality in low light conditions as well as
reduce picture noise.

I really like the idea of having a custom/personalize
UI with unique wallpaper and themes but not at the
extend of simplicity. With the current UI, I never
have to worry about explaining how to operation
the iphone whenever I pass my phone to a friend
to play around with because it is so simple and
intuitive. It is so easy especially when I am driving
and need directions or need to view the available
timing for the latest movie in town, I can just pull
out my iphone and pass it to any friend in my car
and have full assurance that they are going to be
able to get the needed information without any
sort of of training.

I would love that they introduce a better
notification system but the one that I really
like is the one that comes with the palm pre.
Allowing a couple of notification to be viewed
at a single time and with slightly more detail.
If we can push reply right back from the notification
it would be that much more awesome.

Multitasking, widgets and the likes really sap
the battery and they don't seem like a viable option.
I really rather not have anything sucking battery life,
pulling or pushing data from the web, bogging down the
internal ram, taking up processing cycle when I am not
currently viewing or working with it. Rather the best
solution is to have some main application multi-task and
the others push notification when necessary. Which the
Iphone already does. (on a side note if you really must
listen to radio while drafting a letter might I suggest
using lastfm app, there is an option that allows the
songs to be pushed to safari which has multi-tasking
capabilities and as such would allow to work on
something else will listening to songs on digital stations.
And yes ever surf the web, through third party
applications like prefect web.)

I would vote for a better network but I am not located
in USA and the current carrier that I am with is really
quite good, call quality on the iphone is amazing and no
issues with drop calls whatsoever.

Hopefully the next iphone would keep the same shape
(yes I love my morphie juice pack air that much, only wish they would add an led light on it, in the next build.),
have the same screen resolution, but have a faster
processor with lower power consumption and a larger
battery. Throw in wireless N, an FM radio and the
ability to connect to my car stereo wirelessly and we are
ready to go.

Oh and 1 more thing, if there was a simple way to
switch to toggle things like wifi, location, 3g it would
be most welcome. May be a "press and hold to switch"
right at the status bar on top. Seems the most intuitive
solution to this problem. Cheers.

2. I would like to see an improvement with the camera but not with the mega-pixel count rather I would prefer if they kept the count at 3 and double or triple the CCD sensor size. This will really help with the actual capturing of light thus improving picture quality in low light conditions as well as reduce picture noise.
3. I really like the idea of having a custom/personalize UI with unique wallpaper and themes but not at the extend of simplicity. With the current UI, I never have to worry about explaining how to operation the iphone whenever I pass my phone to a friend to play around with because it is so simple and intuitive. It is so easy especially when I am driving and need directions or need to view the available timing for the latest movie in town, I can just pull out my iphone and pass it to any friend in my car and have full assurance that they are going to be able to get the needed information without any sort of of training.
4. I would love that they introduce a better notification system but the one that I really like is the one that comes with the palm pre. Allowing a couple of notification to be viewed at a single time and with slightly more detail. If we can push reply right back from the notification it would be that much more awesome.
5. Multitasking, widgets and the likes really sap the battery and they don't seem like a viable option. I really rather not have anything sucking battery life, pulling or pushing data from the web, bogging down the internal ram, taking up processing cycle when I am not currently viewing or working with it. Rather the best solution is to have some main application multi-task and the others push notification when necessary. Which the Iphone already does. (on a side note if you really must listen to radio while drafting a letter might I suggest using lastfm app, there is an option that allows the songs to be pushed to safari which has multi-tasking capabilities and as such would allow to work on something else will listening to songs on digital stations. And yes ever surf the web, through third party applications like prefect web.)
6. I would vote for a better network but I am not located in USA and the current carrier that I am with is really quite good, call quality on the iphone is amazing and no issues with drop calls whatsoever.
7. Hopefully the next iphone would keep the same shape (yes I love my morphie juice pack air that much, only wish they would add an led light on it, in the next build.), have the same screen resolution, but have a faster processor with lower power consumption and a larger battery. Throw in wireless N, an FM radio and the ability to connect to my car stereo wirelessly and we are ready to go.

Oh and 1 more thing, if there was a simple way to switch to toggle things like wifi, location, 3g it would be most welcome. May be a "press and hold to switch" right at the status bar on top. Seems the most intuitive solution to this problem. Cheers.

Android is awesome. I'm not so sure about this Droid phone though. I don't think I'm their target audience.
I am excited for the possibilities of Android. I scoped out a Desktop phone this morning: http://phandroid.com/2009/08/19/glass-platform-android-desktop-phone-for-business/

and just saw this tonite: http://androidforums.com/computers/1333-can-android-installed-pc.html

When you give developers an open system to do whatever they want with.. they expand on the initial idea in directions you never thought about.

I have an iphone 3g. I love it. Its a lot slower than my friend's 3gs, but I was unlucky to have bought it just enough before the new one that I couldnt upgrade :(

The browser is awesome, the ease of getting new apps is great... and the accuracy of the touch screen is bananas. but I want to be able to download and share my music over the web with all of my devices. None of this itunes gumming everything up.

I want to be able to share the music i have on my phone, with my car stereo, so i don't have to keep plugging my phone in to aux every time i get in the car.

iphone is limited unless they figure out how to play nice with everyone else. For now, imho, the best phone is the iphone 3gs. next year though is anyone's game.

i voted nothing, which seems to piss people off so let me explain.
verizon, been there, no thank you.

physical keyboard, once again, i prefer a soft keyboard

large screen means a more fragile screen and a larger phone, ive already been through a broken iphone screen

5mega camera, doesnt mean better pictures, and i don't need to make posters from my camera phone

liberal app aproval = poorly written apps = me wasting money on apps that suck

multitasking makes a slower phone, my iphone works the same every time i use it

customization, when i had a storm i spent more time "customizing" than actually using the thing, no thank you

widgets go back to multitasking, i don't need my phone getting bogged down when im not even using it

notification system. i know im blue collar so i don't have the corporate email, but i really don't have a problem with the way apple has done it

droid chime, ok you have me there

If I thought it was so cool I wouldn't have givin mine away, there is nothing wrong with a first gen iPhone but I do like the 3gs a ton more. Before the 3gs I thought the first gen was the bomb and I still would if I didn't have the 3gs.

Really I could care less about Pandora, but I won't cut it down if you like it, that's cool. But your Ron Jeremy stuff is about as childish as it gets, I doubt anyone over 17 thinks it's funny.

The question should probably be "Why has Apple failed to bring more innovative features to the iPhone?" instead of arguing points that have already been argued.

It's sad to see some of the remarks here. Just because "you" may not have a need for a particular feature does no mean it's not important or to fain ignorance that no one else uses it either. In any case the iPhone is a great device and a pleasure to use. It's only failing is the lack of features when compared to other smartphones. Hopefully Apple will wake up and realize they need to ramp up the feature set of the iPhone before it's to late.

It's funny how the droid and verizon have stirred up this much trouble. Sadly I am leaving AT&T for verizon. My network has been door in my neighbor hood for 3 weeks. No text, no data, no network but all the apps. So my girlfriend and I are going to pick a android device. But I hope to good they come out with a sexy device come nov 6 because the motorola droid is one ugly device with a matted keyboard and ugly gold accents. Must have been made by a Mexican because they like to gold on everything. Lol it's ok I'm Hispanic

@Dylan
I agree, my 3G is better than anything else I've seen. I just don't like a boot in the back of my neck, regardless of how nice of a boot it is. BTW-I either charge a $1 every time one of my friends needs to use my iPhone because bad/no service on their phones. I've made about $10, and never had to use theirs. Either that, or they can stand on their chair and extoll the virtues of the iPhone and loudly proclaim what idiots they were for buying an inferior product. Yes, I am a jerk offline as well.

There's a couple good ones on there.

I always want a better screen on everything, but I think the iPhone screen is gorgeous, so it's not ever something that bothers me when I'm using the phone.

I'd like a better camera most of all (as I blog and photoblog, using my iPhone as my primary camera), but 5MP does not necessarily mean better quality photos. If we are to assume it does, that's what I would have voted for.

I voted for multitasking, but I'd only really want it running for a couple apps (I have Backgrounder installed and use it very rarely).

I don't have a problem with Communism, for leeches it's great, I only have a problem with illegals voting (fanboys for Skynet's Droid, Verizlow, CrapBerry, et cetra) and trolling.

@stink7k
Yes but if I bought a Camry, it had foglights, but they weren't wired up, why should Toyota care if I have them wired up instead of going to the dealership and buying a new car with foglights installed. (3G vs. 3Gs; no video vs. video). Apple's being petty and going against their original philosophy by trying to stop jailbreaking.

@Joe McG:

No, you're not wrong for wanting those things. Your opinion and vote is just as welcomed as everyone else's. And maybe I voted the same way you did.

But, according to the poll, there are some people who simply don't care about these things. If you don't see the irony in criticizing communism, while at the same time, telling people how they should vote... well, I don't know what else to say. So, I won't.

@Rene:

Please don't mention to Steve Jobs that my iPhone is jailbroken because I like the added features. ;)

@fastlane

You're right. How wrong I am to say that a higher res screen, themes, multitasking, better notification system would make a phone better.

No improvements for me, thank you.

Can you please keep the poll open until fastlane has a chance to ask Steve Jobs what his vote should be? Thanks.

About the nothing voters: I don't think people think the iPhone can't be improved on, they just don't care about the Droid which it says. We all want a better iPhone, it's all the fools that think we are just going to jump ship because the Droid is coming out.(let it prove it's goodness)

Before Christmas the Droid 2 will be out and it will be the ultimate iPhone killer. 5.2 megapixel camera, .10 bigger screen with pullout wipe keyboard cleaner, don't forget it has MMS and it connects to itunes.

While google Nav looks to have potential with its street view, it should be pointed out that this only pops up at the end of route and is little more than a gimmick right now.

It's not very polished with search being the best feature IMO (besides being free).

What i'm getting to is Apple's philosophy on putting out functional core apps that work..no matter how long the delay. Would a free beta nav app meet Apple's standards?

I'm also not sure how fair it would be to other Nav developers to integrate google nav in the maps app and basically give a 3rd party app front row access on the iphone's homepage. This is a new and separate function from Maps. And a function that other devs have invested a lot in.

That all said, of course i want to see it fully integrated into Maps.

I voted for better notifications, but how about an option to vote for Google's navigation with voice control? That along with the car dock that changes the phone into Nav mode automatically is incredible! Couple that with a better screen, better notifications, widgets and customization and this thing is looking very good. I'll wait for HTC sense on top of android 2.0, virtual keys and more robust app store before I jump ship though. I'm laughing at the people who are so blind that they think that the iPhone can't be improved though.

I think screen resolution and a better camera are already locks for the next iPhone.

File browser/system - exactly what Shollomon said in post #5

Theme customization - at least to set different color schemes and a background.

I'm against flash for the iPhone. Too much ads, will take up too much usage, which will kill the already not so efficient battery.

Or the people who voted "Noting, iDon't care about Droid" are happy with the iPhone experience I have right now and simply don't care about Droid. If I wanted a phone that had all of the things listed then guess what, I would go out and buy one those phones. I wouldn't buy a phone just because some company made it and then whine and cry on the internet that it doesn't do what this phone from 2004 did or this phone that is $100 less does right now. So if you want all of those things there are phones out there that do them. So why are you using a phone that doesn't do them?

Do you go buy a Camry and then go online and complain to Toyota that it doesn't have all wheel drive when such and such car does so why doesn't the one I just bought?

@Joe McG:

P.S. For everybody who voted “Nothing”, please move to a communist country where you’ll be more appreciated. Obviously you just do whatever you’re told (by Apple).

In other words, people shouldn't vote in such a way that Chancellor McG disapproves of, and should leave at his request. Don't just do whatever Apple tells you, do whatever Joe tells you.

Brilliant.

The problem is Joe McG there is no evidence that would make most of us switch yet. You act like the iPhone is old technology and your issues are with Apple not the iPhone (I'm still pissed over MMS, incremental development, what company doesn't). The fact is MMS works now (I was wrong on MMS but I would still bet it had to do with AT&T, even though it wasn't released to other countries).

The whole multi-tasking run-in-the-background thing is so tiresome. Is it necessary? Of course not. Is the iPhone perfect? Of course not. Is Verizon the answer to your hopes, dreams and desires? Of course not.

I just laugh hysterically when I see these same comments over-and-over-and-over again. Buy a Droid when it comes out, and ditch your iPhone. See what happens. You will complain just as frequently, but about a whole host of other new issues. "Darn, that physical keyboard is even harder to use than Apple's virtual keyboard. Who'da thunk?" You are just out to get "the man," whoever it might be at any moment in time. That is what jailbreaking is all about. You foiled Apple! You foiled those really bad guys at AT&T! Yet your jailbroken phones have all of their own sets of problems and sub-standard apps that do not meet minimal requirements for stability, function and performance. Yawn.

And to add onto it...even better. When more phones like the Galaxy (and hopefully the Xperia as it is rumored) hit the market with 8/16GB storage on board...that's just another advantage. Because once you root...you'll have that massive onboard flash memory along with up to 32GB of removable storage. How is that NOT amazing?

I look at it like this.

Personally (which means my opinions, cause I know how people get upset) Android is superior to me because of the jailbreak/root comparison.

Whereas all you have to root for is to get Apps2SD or a different ROM entirely (which you'd have to do for ANY phone). With the iPhone you have to jailbreak for the most simplest of things all the way to the most complex which is readily available on Android right out the box.

@Brian

MMS wasn't available anywhere until 3.0 was released. I'm not talking about when AT&T allowed it on their network.

Also, I demand the best from any device I have. I'm not happy with slurping a company just because it made a great device 2 years ago.

I find the onboard storage argument to be a moot point. Everyone that bashes that is mostly praising the jailbreaking scene.

To get past the limited on board storage, you only need to root...which is Android's jailbreak (and far easier also. Less risk).

Nope app data is not stored on the sd card. 256 is all you get. There was an article about this a couple days ago. So good bye 3d games, good bye nav apps with saved maps, (yes I know it has google nav but that requres cell service, which means unreliable), and good bye visually pleasing apps for the sake of saving space.

@Truth, that's the problem you can't say that yet, maybe it will be the best but if everything doesn't work together and efficient it doesn't matter how much processing power or what the screen looks like and a 5 meg camera isn't anything to brag about (megs don't mean anything if doesn't take good pictures) there is no way I would switch yet.(Android phones will get better but hopefully the iPhone will too, because I would prefer to keep the iPhone since all my work is on a mac and it just works good together.

@Joe McG how can you say Apple abuses us. Apple brought the bread to the table, now it's up to others to add the Jamm. MMS was AT&T problem not Apples. As for copy and paste I can't say but like I have always said I don't blame Apple they brought the best to the table and yes they want to add new features later so people will buy a new phone, I can't blame them. Most companies have done that from day one (Tv's, Car's and Computers) but there will always be unsatisfied people.

Let's be real it's not an IPhone. The real question is what will it take for everyone to run out and but a new IPHone in 2010

2010 MSExchange Support

Better push notification

Faster processot for multi task and threading

5MP camera with flash

adobe flash

Better backgrounds

Obviously better network

Video conference

I do understand that a lot of what's not available is do to Apple's relationship with AT&T. I also understand that a lot of what I want for the iPhone is just software and is available by jailbreaking. If Apple gave us what we wanted then we wouldn't have as much need to J/B. I'm talking about multitasking (which as stated earlier would only need to be for 1-3 extra apps) and customization (I want themes but mostly just folders to put my tools/game apps in). SB Settings I also find very useful. Please Apple! Incorporate this into an update soon!

As a photographer, I'm just curious why people think we need a boost to a 5mp camera? Right now the 3GS takes great pictures that you can print 4x6 and 5x7 without problem. I've even blown pictures up to 8x10. Sure a 5mp camera would let you blow pictures up to 8x10 or 11x16 with ease but whose is doing that?
The 3mp camera is MORE than enough. Remember, more MP's doesn't equal better pictures.
I'd rather see Apple come up with some sort of in phone anti-shake. That's the biggest problem with the pictures I see. It's all must movement blur. A 5mp camera does not solve that issue.
Just my thoughts.

What reason is there to continue paarading around like the Iphone is be best thing since sliced bread? I have my Hero and the difference is like night and day. Android is superior to Iphone in nearly every aspect. I'm sure with the Droid it's even better.

If you are any sensible person you would say all of the above. The Droid handily whoops the Iphone. If it was an Apple device it would sell 10x more.

@Bugs

I agree with everything you said.
Only one point I would change is the browser. The Mobile Safari is great, but I like the browsers that offload most work onto servers making it even more faster and such.

So for that I would LOVE to see the Skyfire browser (optimized for full touch of course) on the "dream phone" should it ever be made.

To put it in my own words though...

The full open source, notification, customization, and cloud sync ability of Android (yeah, a lot from Android is wanted), the main support of WinMo (mainly for choice of browser), Blackberry's messaging capabilities (second to none), and iPhone's glossy, glassy UI (not the UI setup, but how everything has a shine to it).

Take that perfect OS and tie it to a 800Mhz or larger processor (using Cortex A8, Snapdragon, or Tegra), minimum of 512MB RAM, base 3.7in diagonal screen, 800x480 resolution, start onboard storage off at 8GB and raise it to 32/64GB, and make the actual phone practical yet functional.

That would be the ultimate phone...

I covet the Droids highres screen and multtasking pandora, but what I really need is the multiple exchange accounts. However I'll still take the iPhone speed, intuitiveness, app choice, style, superior browser, and wide array of acessories. I don't really care for a Droid physical keyboard, but I do wish we could get a Bluetooth keyboard for travel days.

Why didn't you just name this post "Reasons to get a Droid rather than an iPhone". Seriously though, haven't we all had enough of Apple's shabby incremental development over the last few years? I'm sorry, but I'm still pissed about them witholding MMS and copy/paste for 2 years and then releasing it in 3.0 and acting like it was some sort of new feature they just thought of.

I have a 3GS, and have to jailbreak it to get it to be a phone that I want to use.

Why do we keep letting Apple abuse us?

Multitasking, notifications, option for homescreen widgets are the biggies for iphone OS 4.0. Voice search would be nice. Google Nav.

Hardware wise, much improved screen is essential or i won't care to upgrade. 720p recording though would be good. 64gb storage.

All that would do is eliminate most talk besides openess and customization. Neither of which i care too much about. Anything else is gravy.

For me, I want the screen most. iPhone is due for higher screen resolution. 854x480 would be perfect for anamorphically encoded iTunes content, but I'll settle for 720 x 480 (more likely IMO since it maintains the original 3:2 aspect ratio).

Most of the things mentioned are really just user preference.

I personally like Verizon's network better. The calls were more clear and never had voice mails popping out of nowhere because my signal couldn't be "found" when others were calling me. I'm in north suburbs Chicago land area and my best friends mother works for AT&T but even she admits that she likes Verizon network better around her way of communicating and has kept the service.

Camera, I think all smart phones should have 5MP these days, and although flash isn't that great for any phone I've experienced, it helps a bit.

why is this even compared to the droid or even in that matter, the better question is what features you would like to see on next gen iphone.

what android is or is going cant ever be compared to an iphone or an os designed for 1 set up and only one.

the true answer would be, android with iphones touch interfaces polish added with blackberry type push email system (which saves a ton of battery life since the network pushes to the phone not the phone doing a wake up / check)

open platform that is not tied to the itunes store, android platform since the kernel source has to be released under the linux gpl. alows alot of homebrew systems.

1 gig processer or better, removable battery, and voice in a slider with a keyboard or touch only device.

the webkit browser on the iphone is fine.

multitasking.

i think that about covers what i would like to see on the next iphone.

boy can i dream none of this would ever come true but oh well.

oh yet i forgot some form of unique apple only even using mobile me to offer a chat service like blackberry. from iphone to iphone only.

19% WANT Verizon??? I suppose that they want swine flu, and athlete's foot as well...Don't get me wrong, ATT's not the cheapest, but I had VZ for years and will NEVER go back. They're just a little bit more honest than a WorldComm Exec, but not by much. AppleTT should let us decide how to use our phones, get out of trying to stop jailbreakers, stop trying to save battery life, and allow an innovative product for innovative consumers, or have they forgotten their original ideals?

as many have already said... most of these are non-issues for those that jailbreak.

if you find yourself wanting many of these features, take the plunge and jailbreak. it is very easy.

Amen creepwood! My iPhone is my pacemaker I'd be lost without it. However there are things that could be improved I love that it's causing other companies to make good phones.

I voted better camera but if they could eliminate all reason to jailbreak that would be sweet.

Customization and file system would be on top. Plus I love my quicksms so being able double tap home to send a message withot leaving the app is important to me so i'll be sticking to jailbreaking for a while I be.

I think apple should allow users to multitask 3 of their most recently used apps. That's more than enough to remain open in memory for me. Maybe they will in version 4.0 when they add more memory to the phone next summer.

There's 3 smalls things that the Iphone really need, and I guess it shouldn't be that complicated:

External Bluetooth Keyboard (my Palm had that over 5 years ago)

Some kind of library to let streaming radio, Pandora or Last.fm play in the background. That's the only multitasking I'd used.

Something that let me accept and register meetings directly from the mail app... That's a big black eye for business users...

Yes, Bentotbox thanks for being the first on the thread to state facts that aren't true (your just a basher and that's it).

Yes there can always be improvement on the iPhone. For me I will take themes and multitasking, that would be fine with me. On the hardware maybe better speakers and mic. Then the developers can do the rest and make some cool apps.

YES, Shollomon, THANK YOU! You're the first person I've found who shares my biggest gripe about the iPhone. It's absolutely ridiculous that I have to use a workaround to open an attachment with QuickOffice.

I checked multi-tasking, but why only one? I want all of a 5mp camera with flash, a 16:9 screen, lock screen widgets, notification system, and customizations.

What I really, really want that's not in the list is to have applications access the file system and have a file browser. I'd like QuickOffice to open mail attachments directly, to save non-picture mail attachments to the phone and open them with apps I choose, to organize my pictures and create play lists directly on the phone, etc. The other stuff is nice, file system access is a really big deal.

19% of those who voted seriously think that no single aspect of the iPhone could be improved? That's absurd. I'd never give up my iPhone for the Droid, but I'm not blind to the iPhone's shortcomings. Multitasking? Better screen? Less restrictive approval process? Notifications? Widgets? YES PLEASE!

I definitely want multi-tasking, It is the only reason I Jailbroke. I enjoy the customization too but I could live without that. but Pandora is way better if you dont have to stop listening to IM or SMS with someone.
