I have the SportGrip for iPhone 3G. Awesome! On my second one now. The most form-fitting rubber, sleek case I’ve seen. I’ve dropped it a few times and it laughs at the impact!

I like it except for the velcro. I’d much rather have the quieter magnets. I’m using a similar case now that has magnets but I’ve about worn it out. I’ve never dropped it taking it out of the case or putting it in.

I have this case, and am very surprised that the reviewer didn’t mention that the IS a magnet version of this case (it’s the one I have) – but it is only available directly from Marware. It is a great case, and as some others alluded, doesn’t look ridiculous or attention-seeking in a professional office environment. Prior to my purchase, I emailed marware to ask about the magnets and iPhone combination, they addressed my concerns very well. I also like how you can still hit the top button when it is in the case to easily send a call to voicemail. Daily use for 8 months or so, no issues with wear&tear.

I don’t have a protective case on my eyeglasses when I wear them… I don’t keep my MacBook in its bag when I use it… I don’t wear my Bluetooth in its protective case, but it goes in there when it’s being charged.

Same thing here.

This is simply a case to keep a phone in when its not in use, the same way one would keep anything in a case when its not in use. If one chooses not to use protection for their iPhone when in use, what is the issue with having a case like this to keep it in when setting it on a desk, a car seat, or a restaurant table to keep it from being scratched when used? Help me here. When it rings, you take it out, and you have an iPhone without a case because you like it that way.

Ladies, throw away your jewelry boxes… they won’t work when you’re wearing your jewelry.

Exactly. Thanks for proving the point.

When you use a case like this your phone is unprotected at the most high risk times: when you are using it.

As for the suits issue posted by others, I can tell you from personal experience this is NOT a problem. There are plenty of places you can hide an iPhone in a quality suit without it even showing, and all of them are easier to get at and look better than a belt clip.

Those that reject the idea of a side clip simply don't understand how different people store their phone.

I have a leather side holster case, and I've never dropped it pulling the phone out. I've dropped it just picking it up off a counter or being handed or whatnot, but never from taking it out of a case like this. It's a matter of performing the same manuever over and over and having that in your muscle memory. Now I understand not everyone can do that, and non clip cases are just fine for many people, but that's why there is a choice of cases, just like a choice of phones, as the iphone isn't for everyone.

For those who prefer clip cases like this, this is very attractive and goes well with a suit. It's also cushioned which is nice. I know there is this (very false) perception about magnet cases, but this case would be awesome with a magnet. Velcro wears out, but magnets do not and simply last longer.

I'd have bought one today if had a magnet.

I like the Marware cases and use the SportSuits for my 3GS and iPT. The other cases seem blah and overpriced for what you get. I found them both on eBay for half what their site sells them for..

Not everyone uses iPhone cases to protect them from dropping. Some people just don’t want their iPhones being scratched when they’re no using them.

This is just such a case, although it’s too bulky for my tastes.

I don’t like any cases. I like the smooth, thin feel of the iPhone by itself (haven’t regreted it… yet). If it’s not in my hand, it’s in a small velvet pouch in my pocket.

Business men that wear slacks to work, suit and tie style can be havin an iPhone in their pocket with a big ass rubber cover over it. Doesn’t work trust me. Belt clip or you carry it around. Moat of the go naked with the phone so it doesn’t detract from the suit while they’re on it.

I agree ! Protect your phone at all times, not just when your not using it. Plus I’ve never understood keeping a phone on your belt. What’s wrong with your pockets ?

When you need the case most it's not there.

You don't drop the phone when it's in your pocket you drop it when you take it out.
