N64 Emulator Coming to Jailbroken iPhone 3GS/iPod touch Devices

We have some good news for all of you Nintendo fans out there as ZodTDD, the developer the Nintendo Gameboy Advance emulator GpSPhone, has announced that they are currently working on an N64 emulator for the iPhone 3GS and iPod touch. Zodttd feels that the iPhone 3GS and the current iPod Touch contain the graphical horsepower needed for N64 games.
"You may soon see N64 on your favorite Apple device, But I can’t promise it will run games top notch just yet, as things are too early to say. There’s hope though, with a 3D accelerated graphics plugin, as well as an ARM dynarec."
We would love to see this pulled off but the lack of physical buttons on the iPhone may prove to be a major issue. There currently is no release date set but regardless, we are looking forward to checking this one out.

I tried the snes emulator and it is too hard to play with the touch screen, I cant imagine how difficult it would be with the n64
Mario!
Since Apple opened the dock API with 3.0, it would be fabulous for someone to make an accessory that fits over an iPhone/iPod touch with standard control buttons. It would make it look very similar to a PSP and could still utilize the touch screen. Now THAT would be a sweet setup!
I think their should be a hand held controller for itouch. that would make playing very complex games, like N64 games, easier to play and more enjoyable. using the touch screen to control some games degrades enjoyment; you can't view all of the screen because your fingers are blocking it and the controls are not fluid. I would be surprised to see touch screen controls to ever become as good as using a external controller.
Controllers and gamepads are almost here.
There is the GameBone Pro: http://gamebonepro.com/gamebonepro.html
Which is due out in 2010.
There is also the iControlPad: http://www.icontrolpad.com/
No ETA on it though.
Goldeneye!! If u dont like that game, soccer kick a knife blade.
Well wait, aren't they working on a cover for standard buttons on the iPhone?
Another thing. Why does the n64 emulator need a 3gs or the new touch? I mean we have a plystation emulator for the 3g and 2g. Surely an n64 emulator wouldn't take up as many resources.
Anyways, thanks guys for making an n64 emulator! This will be one of my favorite apps when it comes out.
I get more reasons to jailbreak every day... I'm just to scared to
I have heard way to many stories about the jailbreak bricking ppls phones.
I still wig he would focus on getting the Paz emulator to work properly. The touch controls would work fine if there was a way to customize what buttons were visible and usable. Most psx games don't need the entire controller anyway. But I'm disappointed that he's giving up refining his current emulators and focusing on a new far fetched idea. Snes doesn't even work very well performancewise why would an n64 emulator work?
Sorry Paz means psx and wig means wish. Blame the iPhone.
I don't see how they are going to pull it off. I think iPhone games already suffer from a lack of physical buttons which prevents them from every achieving the level of depth you get on the PSP or DS. The N64 had a thumbstick, A, B, 4 C buttons, as well as a trigger button. How are they going to pull that off with the touch screen? The iPhone lends itself much better to gameboy games that only had an A and B.
Amen, Goldeneye FTW!!!
@Bushtackle I would buy that as soon as it came out
This sounds to good to be true..
MADNESS! Iphone sends personel information to the developers of certain apps.

I've thought someone should make an add-on controller peripheral for the iPhone. I'm sure Apple would make a killing if they made an all purpose controller with a couple of analog sticks, D-pads, shoulder buttons and battery (a few gig extra storage too?) I've been waiting patiently but it hasn't happened ...
Bom tema. Tambem ha emuladores pra N64 no http://www.emuladorpsp.com .
my friend tried it and showed me and it works great. the only problems is the controller which has A&B and also the d-pad besides that it works great and only a little lag
It doesn't work on my iPhone 3GS it opens,it do not run the games it opens to the control and it just closes to the main screen
