  1. Bob Harlan says:

    How can we view this live broadcast from my iPhone? When I access the link all I get are the same cubes that I get when content is provided via an unsupported format. Can you please offer some suggestions? Thanks

  2. fastlane says:

    Bob, download Ustream Viewer FREE from the App Store. Wait until just a few minutes before 8PM EST for it to show up in the search.

    Rene, why not mention this app along with this post each week, or on the iPhone Live page? ;)

  3. Michael says:

    I've had my iPhone 3G for a year now, so I'm eligible to upgrade at a discounted price. If you were in this position, would you upgrade to 3GS, or wait for the 4th generation iPhone? I'm tempted by the rumor of a $99 3GS.

    I'm fairly new to your blog and podcast and I'm really loving it. Just wondering if you guys have thought about having an app developed for it???

  4. Rene Ritchie says:

    @Bob,

    You can view it using the iPhone Ustream Viewer App, however it only shows up on the app when the show starts. At around 8pm ET, search for iPhone and you'll find us!

    Hey, not sure whether you guys have seen this before but I found an Australian weather app with a cool feature... it uses push notification to display the current temperature on your iPhone or iPod Touch as a badge!

    http://appshopper.com/weather/pocket-weather-au

    I keep it on my 1st home screen so I can very quickly see the current temperature.

    They have a world version as well: http://appshopper.com/weather/pocket-weather-world-with-push

    Another company is selling an app with the same push feature but is a bit more basic: http://appshopper.com/weather/current-temperature-pushed

  8. Michael says:

    Thanks to Ron Jeremy, Chad, and Rene for your advice on upgrading or waiting. I think I'll wait and see what's coming to the next iPhone. Besides, my 3G works great!
