We could go on and on about which cell provider is the best in the country. Of the big four, the one that has the best coverage in YOUR area is the best one for YOU. If Verizon would be willing to eat some costs, having both a GSM and CDMA iPhone would be a terrific bit of progress, and would generate massive revenue streams for both companies. CDMA isn’t disappearing next week, and LTE won’t really get decent coverage until 2011 or 2012. So someone buying a Verizon iPhone in 2010 will have two solid years of CDMA coverage before LTE even begins to take over. And once AT&T, Verizon, and others move to LTE, we’ll be all GSM, so life will be better.

It makes sense for the apple tablet to go to verizon. The reason this rumor seems real, is because AT&T could not handle another apple product on their over crowded network. There is no way in hell AT&T would be able to handle the apple tablet, no way in hell!!! They can barely handle the iphone as it is, how would they handle another 1 million customers? Their network would be crashing like every hour or something like that . AT&T needs to stop being greedy SOB’s and invest money into their network to make it as reliable as Verizon’s. I constantly use my iphones data plan like crazy, I’m using about 40 gigs a week just to make AT&T notice the heavy data usage so maybe they will get the clue to upgrade their network.

I have AT&T, I have had 3 calls drop in the last 2 1/2 years that my wife & I have had our iPhones. 3g coverage on the other hand…

You do understand the simple concept that different areas offer different levels of service.. right? Point is.. whats great for some isn't great for everyone.. folks around me with Verizon have many more problems then myself, and have far slower 3G.

I have Verizon. It’s service is great and I rarely if ever get dropped calls. My friends have AT&T and often complain about their service & I constanly get hung up on because of their dropped calls. Although, as far as the tablet, I find it quite idiotic to go with Verizon instead of AT&T. Hey Verizon! I don’t care about no tablet, let’s work on getting the iPhone first! This whole control thing between Apple & Verizon is rediculous. What customers want should be first thing on their minds and this customer wants an iPhone!

And I’ll admit, the iPhone is obviously better than the Droid phones and even Blackberry’s and most of the other phones out there as well, but at the end of the day Verizon is top on service. I’ve tried them all. So the one’s who have AT&T service don’t fool yourselves by trying to bash Verizon. Thanks.

verizon was hitting hard when it came to at&t users including singling out the iphone as one of the "misfit" toys last december, and with the DROID why would verizon want the iphone and apple anyways.... on at&t u can make a call and if u wanna make reservations u can do it while your talking on the phone or check an address on the map app (or something like that) if im mistaken verizon phones CANT do that, i think.

btw, my friend whos in the air force owns a DROID , what a piece of CRAP!!! IPHONE IS SOOOO MUCH BETTER!!!

If you own a laptop, or iPhone, what is the value add of owning a tablet? I’m sure a tablet is gonna be a hair under a grand in cost. To each their own I suppose, but I don’t see the need of a tablet if you own an iPhone or MacBook.

There's also one question that needs to be asked. While most folks keep their cell phones for about 2 years are people going to turn in their tablets after that period of time? If not, will Verizon support CDMA beyond 2 years because they're going to be rolling out LTE in 2010 and no report so far has talked about an LTE chip in the Tablet meaning you're stuck on CDMA. I'd hate to be on Verizon 2 years from now with a CDMA device when they're fully integrated on LTE and get an email saying that they're turning off CDMA by X date so upgrade or be stuck on WiFi forever, providing that they allow WiFi on the Tablet.

Verizon needs to quit acting stupid. Nobody wants an iTablet, there are MacBooks for that. Get the iPhone and let the consumers choose who they want to be with. A lot of people will make the big shift to Verizon(those who hate AT&T) and a bunch of people will stay with AT&T(those who like it). Either way you look at it, Apple WINS!!! I want a tablet and I want it to work with my iPhone and thus, my carrier is AT&T. I highly doubt apple would screw their iPhone user base by making them work with verizon and AT&T if they have an iPhone and itablet. I would be ticked off to no end!

I agree with Macintosh too. I still cannot see the point of a tablet when having everything that can fit in the palm of your hand is so appealing. I've been waiting 3 years for the iPhone to come to Verizon. Plus, the tablet having phone ability is something I cannot understand, how do you talk on it hold the big @$$ thing to your head?!

I'm having trouble with the iSlate/iTablet on Verizon without the iPhone also available on the same carrier. Apple spends a lot of energy focusing on their compatibility of hardware and software. No doubt, if there is a tablet, it will be highly compatible with the App Store and the iPhone...MobileMe, etc...

It's a tough sell to have a plan with AT&T and a second plan with Verizon. I'm thinking, wherever this tablet goes, it is accompanied by access to all of Apple's products.

Alexander has it right, how many AT&T logos do you see on the iPhone or it’s OS? Zero. Verizon is all about logos, VCast and nickle and dimeing it’s customers to death. I pay for phone and data service from AT&T once a month and the day to day stuff I do through iTunes and the App store. Anything you can’t do can be done using jailbreak. But as I’ve said before competition is good for iPhone users, besides itablet on verizon would be a wake call for everyone. I can’t wait see the sparks flying from verizon to Cupertino.

I’m with Mr G on the whole Sprint thing. I really like their 3G network, their coverage is awesome. Even in the mountains. I’m starting to like AT&T little by little, but before I would of have never wanted AT&T, but everything is changing. As for Verizon Wireless, I really hate that company. They have an alright service, but they have the worlds ugliest, most suckiest phones EVER! Sprint has better, and funner phones to play with. But I’m not sure if iPhone would actually be ready for their 4G network, because it isn’t entirely spread out at the moment. Although, they’ve been honored to be the carrier of the worlds first flexible e-reader/tablet like device.

I would like to see the iSlate or whatever it’s going to be called and the iPhone come over to sprint. They have a good 3g network and already running 4g. Sprint needs some new products. I would have bought an iPhone but won’t go to AT&T and I hate Verizon. Have had Sprint 8 or 9 yrs now with no issues.

I think Verizon is just way too controlling to have the iPhone or any other Apple Products. Inevitably if they got their hands on it they’d try to rid it of the app store in favor of their own V-Cast and litter the whole phone itself with their logos. I don’t think it’ll ever happen realistically. And i don’t care what people say, I like AT&T and rarely ever have the problems so many people allegedly encounter
