I’ve been using the Griffin PowerJolt Reserve for iPhone & iPod for a little over a month now and it has turned into one of those things I need to carry around with me whenever I leave the house. You simply plug it into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter or 12 volt power outlet which then allows you to plug in your standard iPhone USB charging cord to charge your device while on the road.
A simple car charger alone would be on the boring side, what makes this accessory so special is that it also happens to have a built in rechargeable battery attached to it which you can carry with you in your pocket for backup power wherever you go. I use mine everyday. I have the Power Jolt Duo, which also includes a sleek little wall charger too.
What exactly is the button with the battery on it do? I just used it for the first time today and it looks like it starts charging when it’s connected. I push the button and the green lights show up. Is it just to see the battery level on the the external pack?
Hi I have one of the griffin gizmos and a iphone 4 and at first I thort wow this is going to be grate but after using if I’m starting to think maybe it could be a wast of money sins it only gives me about 13% extra battery power I was told at the 02 shop that this would charg my iPhone 4 at lest 40% and I made a point that I hade a iPhone 4 I really am disappointed with this I meen in a emergancy if I hade let’s say 4% battery then I think if I plugged a fully charged battery in I could only make one 6 min call the backup battery should be for that extra boost wen u need it but with this I just don’t think it’s worth it 13% if it’s not being used before the backup is depleted the battery should be for convenience not for that emergency last 10 of 15 min call to the wife
