Leanna saying no pictures, no autographs (with iTouch Glove, Macworld 2010)

Live from Macworld 2010, Rene and Leanna talk to Jerry Leto, inventor of the TouchTec nanotechnology that builds capacitance into the iTouch Gloves' leather starting at the tanning process. This means you can use them to control your iPhone, iPod touch, and soon your iPad without having to take them off. It also means you don't need to sew in extra string or metal or make the finger tips removable or anything else. It works right through the leather.

Watch along after the break and let us know what you think!

  3. AttaQ says:

    The cost for these is just crazy, I can't imagine paying this much for gloves like this at all!

    I've been amazed at the relative scarcity of gloves that work well on th iPhone and other touch screen devices. Last winter I couldn't even order the two models that I found because they were out of stock by January. Luckily this year I gave my wife a big hint early in the fall and got the North Face etip gloves. They look a little silly with the silver finger tips but they work great and are not terribly expensive. I have tried some of the "dot" styles and have only gotten intermittent success, but this style works pretty good. I'd be interested in trying these out but doubt they will be available anywhere but online.

    I have a pair of work gloves that I would like to alter so that there's one finger that I can use on my iPhone. What exactly would I need to add to it to do that? It doesn't need to be pretty.

    @KP

    you can sew conductive thread into the fingertip of your work gloves. It's easy and cheap. The thread is on eBay for about $6. Google conductive thread to find how-to blogs.

    Thank you for the comments regarding the iTouch Gloves, I just arrived to Washington DC and snow is still on the ground and I personlly experienced how GREAT it is to have real leather elegant gloves with warm lining and answer teh incoming calls or text. It is amazing product and looks great with my outfit. These gloves are desingned by Gaspar teh same designer who makes gloves for Lady Gaga and Michael Jackson. The cost for European made , designed and leather that is made in USA is very good price. I hope you will try and have these gloves!
