They are finally here RPG fans, Final Fantasy [$8.99 - iTunes link] and Final Fantasy II [$8.99 - iTunes link] were released earlier today in the App Store for your iPhone or iPod touch. Each game will cost you $8.99 but that seems to be a small price to pay for such classics as these.

Final Fantasy features the bonus dungeons added to later editions of the game - the Soul of Chaos and the Labyrinth of Time. Part 2 also contains the bonus dungeons added to later editions from the Soul of Rebirth and the Arcane Labyrinth.

If you try them out let us know us what you think in the comments below! Do they live up to the hype or are there better ways to spend $18?

  10. iblackdude says:

    Not a 3D game ??? Not for me !!!!!

  11. Tuna says:

I made the mistake of thinking this FF2 was the same game I loved on the SNES, but it is actually the Japanese game that didn't come over to the US originally. The FF2 I played was actually FF4. It says so in the IGN article linked above, I just prematurely bought the game and looked there while it was downloading. Doesn't make me too upset, as it's giving me a new-to-me final fantasy game to play in the old style.

  12. Chad says:

I've been waiting for these games to come out since the annoucement of their release. I'm having a great time playing ff1 and plan on getting ff2 after i beat the first one. I'm also a big fan of TD games and crystal defenders went on sale this week. Very tempting...

  13. Dyvim says:

FF1 is SO wasting my time (in a good sense). I'm an old school gamer (enjoy the classic games from the '80's and early '90's), so FF1 is great for me. Controls could be a little better optimized for the iPhone, but since it's an RPG, you're not going to get yourself killed because the D-pad isn't perfect the way you can with other games. Will buy FF2 once I've beat FF1.

I'm still hoping for Secret of Mana though!

  14. Zeppfan100 says:

Should I get FF1 or 2 for my iTouch?

  15. battery says:

cook post. what the other contents. Laptop Battery

  16. Micky man says:

Looked at the descriptions for both games in the app store and ff2 is more advanced I bought it and am really enjoying it
