ITunes Store/App Store Outage?
We're getting lots of reports from lots of different places that Apple's iTunes Store and App Store are down or otherwise erroring out for users.
Hopefully Apple is working on a fix and things will be back up soon. In the meantime let us know if you're getting errors, what kind, and in what country...

Receiving the following error in Vancouver, BC: We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (499).

Have not been able to access the Itunes store at all in 6 days. At firs I thought it was my laptop (just got a new one) and then I went through and did all the setting changes that the official apple website said were necessary. Still nothing. All I'm getting it "We could not complete your Tunes Store request" blah blah blah. I'm getting really sick of this... (Ohio)

I was getting error (100) on the Mac App Store, but I found a solution for it: http://www.the-constant.com/?p=2018 (check the Notes). Don't know if it solves other issues people are having, but it's easy to try.
sorry, my bad — I thought theses errors pertained to the newly (today) launched Mac App Store.
cannot access the itunes store for 2 days. gives no error messages,just will not come up.keeps telling my ipod is syncing then nothing,the store will flash up for a second and disappear. i checked for updates and tells me all are current..is there a way to find out officially if itunes is having a problem? im in the central time zone, Mississippi, U.S.A. and i am having problems with downloading an application it tells me cannot connect to the store a secure connection could not be established. please check your date and time settings.
