DON'T REFRESH - Posts update automagically!

The event kicks off at 10am PT/1pm ET/6pm GT and we'll kick off 10 minutes or so before that. Stop on by, and get your chat on!

NOTE: for everyone asking -- Apple typically doesn't provide, nor do they allow anyone else to provide, live video or audio streams of their events. Don't expect there'll be one and you won't be disappointed!

  11. Leet says:

    @Andy

Yes it's just a sneak peek at something that could releas later on this month or late in the summer we will find out tommorrow

  12. Freiteez says:

@Andy. Yes this is just a PREVIEW event so, most likely, nothing will be released tomorrow. It will be like the 3.0 event talking about cut copy paste etc. We didn't get it when they annouced it. We got it a few months later. Same with the 2.0 event when they showed off the app store. They gave it to developers so they can get apps in the app store but we didn't get the app store for a few months. This event will show 4.0 probably say it's coming this summer. Then in june there will be an iPhone event and show off the next gen iPhone and probably more 4.0 features and then release it shortly after that.

  13. Brian says:

I can't wait either! I'm off tomorrow but I got duty (military) from 1130 Wednesday night till 0730 Thursday morning. I'll be waking up if possible to check it out though!

  14. Isnoozy says:

  17. Secret says:

    To Freiteez:

Nothing will be released to the public, but developers may end up getting OD 4.0. That is if we're lucky!

  18. SOV says:

So is someone from tipb going to be at te event?how will you all know as it's being displayed to blog it?

  19. antonio says:

Come to me iPhone OS 4.0 beta 1 :)

  20. TheAndyOrr says:

  21. Brady says:

I see a noob or two

  22. USMC says:

What we've all been waiting for.

  23. Kona says:

Why is every one so excited about something that won't be released for months. I want to know what's coming as well but I don't think I'll skip lunch to see it. Well, maybe its just me !!!

  24. Leo says:

Maybe they give us a treat by letting us update our iPhone to 3.2...

  25. jtz5 says:

I am most interested in Jobs' definition of A-plus.

  26. Dimwit says:

Can you stream it in flash? I want to watch it on my iPhone...

  27. Brian says:

@Dimwit that was actually funny haha

  28. Baustin says:

    @Kona

Because everyone has been waiting a year for this. 4.0 is big issue because people want to know if the iPhone will first of all compete with newer phones, but second, be somehow innovative. Then of course people are excited about the hardwear...

I for one am excited to see what Apple does to keep up.

  29. Johnny Boy says:

I hope they announce that all iPhones will be replaced with 4g EVOs, that would be good news, as opposed to features that should have been there 3 years ago, a la copy/paste and MMS. Apple makes great stuff but the incremental feature release stuff has gotten tired. Dammit quit it with the mental masturbation.

  30. Rob says:

    @dimwit hahaha

  31. Gino from the Bronx says:

I remember Apple streaming some of their keynotes live in the past, how come they have gotten away from this? I can't even here a audio stream anywhere?

  32. thedave says:

It's not going to give us what we want is it.

  33. Todd in KC says:

While I'm excited about whatever 4.0 bones they throw our way today, it is minorly dampened by the iTunes 9.1 synching issues that have been plaguing us 64-bit windows users. Maybe Steve can announce they're hard at work fixing that (har har har)

  34. adam says:

@Kona Im with you. I'm looking forward to finding out what will be released but we'll still have to wait.

I know the 2-3 month wait allows developers to write apps for the new OS. And that developers typically get access to it in that wait time. Is this only a 'virtual version' of the OS that can be run to test the apps on a Mac or do they also get access to a version of the OS that can be updated on their phone? If it is in fact a beta version that can update the phone what's stopping everyone from buying the SDK and becoming a 'developer' to have the early OS? Or does Apple define 'developer' rigidly?

  35. schrutefarms says:

More than likely someone will video stream it on ustream. I had a connection when they announced the iPad. So, maybe we'll get lucky with today.

  36. GlennEU says:

You gotta love them Apple live events :)

  37. GlennEU says:

Just made a list of the most famous live blogs to follow the event on my blog :) http://glenn.eu

Hope there will be a uStream during the event also !

  38. Smlk says:

Apple shouldn't leave us hanging. I'm really excited to know what we can expect to see!

  39. Davis says:

[URGENT] I phone will support Flash and multitasking with there new omni view feature!@!

  40. Been waiting so long for this, will need to update http://www.freeiphone4.co.uk when i get the time - its going to be so interesting!! :)

  41. DaHui623 says:

Didn't they stream the iPad event?

  42. Spazbite33 says:

    cant wait
