Today’s the day that everyone in Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore (who didn’t buy one in another country already!) has been waiting for — iPad launch day!

Need help getting started with your new iPad? We’ve got your back:
- Get apps and games. There are thousands of iPad specific apps already (seriously, we’ve stopped counting!). You can find them — all of them — on iTunes, either on your Windows or Mac, or right on the iPad App Store. We’ve covered a ton of iPad apps here already, and we’ll be reviewing more each week, so keep your eyes peeled!
- Get accessories. The TiPb Store has just started offering iPad accessories and more and more are in stock every day. If you want to protect that big, beautiful screen or wrap a case over that pristine aluminum shell, be sure to check them out!

In Ireland there are no Apple stores so the iPad is being sold in the likes of Currys and PC World. Despite there being two outlets in my local town, I can’t get the iPad there as nearly all the 13 national stockist outlets are based in Dublin. iPad is not available online in the Apple store so it’ll be an even longer wait for me. Very disappointing Irish launch.

In new Zealand, got mine! Was first in queue of only 5 when shop opened! Am loving it, but disappointed to see no weather and stock market apps? Also wifi seems to lose connection on wake up. What’s the guts with that? Have 32 gig 3G model, but want to use wifi by default
Rather an odd and low-key New Zealand release. Even the prices aren’t posted on the Apple homepage, except for saying “Starting from NZ$799″. No accessories online. I see one Wellington store still asking premium prices for accessories (e.g. $85 for a dock). ToshNewZealand.com have dropped their accessory prices(they were also the best place to get a prerelease iPad from). The iBooks store still has just the free stuff and I wonder if that’ll ever change.
The iPad in Mexico created what we saw in other countries: long lines outside the stores and midnight + 1min of july 23rd telephone and twitter sales. The fever was not made by the fever itself but for the buying options offered by the stores. In some cases stores were giving from 12 to 36 months to complete the payment on a 12-hour offer only, so my guess is that most of the people waited outside for this kind of offerings. BTW, i did not get one iPad. I am just ok with my iPhone.
Finally the IPAD in the Netherlands. Waiting was definitely worth it. The guarantee of products in the Netherlands differently. Warranty period is more then one year. IPAD has a life expectancy of say three years you should be able use your IPAD for that period. Within the first year the IPAD get free replacement or repair. After the first year they cannot say:guarantee period is one year from apple. You have no quarantee anymore!

Seriously, anyone with a new iPad should check out the apps and get talking with others on forums..it’s a great help. I should probably check out a forum to see if there is any info on this but there’s this app Freephoo in the app store which lets you use your iPad as a phone. No jailbreaking, people! And this isn’t like skype. You dont have to sign in each time you want to make a call.
