Steve Jobs is once again about to set sneaker to stage for the iOS-packed annual special music event, and expectations are running the gamut from iPod touch 4 with Retina Display and FaceTime to a tiny touch iPod nano to an all new Apple iTV, from iOS 4.1 for iPhone to iOS 4.x for iPad, from a new iLife to iTunes X, from $0.99 TV rentals to full on iTunes.com streaming.

We won't get everything we want, and we may get "one more thing" we didn't expect, but take your best guess in the poll above and hedge in the comments below.

We're less than a week away!

  1. Geo Coldz says:

    iTunes Pro.

  2. David says:

As well as what's in the poll, I think we'll see iTunes 10.

  3. Rene Ritchie says:

@David iTunes 10 (iTunes X) is in the poll :)

  4. Mashono says:

The end of the iPod Classic line and a new 128 GB iPod Touch.

  5. Luke W says:

I think we will see the iPod Touch G4 with Retina Display, VGA camera for FaceTime, 128gb storage, the discontinuation of the iPod Classic, iPod Nano G6 storage boost with possibly a new design but thats about it, storage boost for iPod Shuffle, iOS 4.1 blanket release for all iOS devices (except for iPhone G1 and iPod Touch G1), iTunes X is a given, new iOS Apple TV, cheap TV rentals. I think the Apple TV will be the one last thing.

  6. OmariJames says:

Apple TV , iPod Touch w/ retina and FaceTime , 1.5 inch nano , iOS 4.1 and iTunes.Com streaming.

  7. Dood says:

I'll tell you what we won't see, a white iPhone.

  8. Rhaegar says:

The results view for this poll doesn't make any sense at all. You can choose more than one option, so the results shouldn't add up to 100%.

  9. Joe McG says:

Hopefully on September 2nd, I'll be able to gain back the friends and customers I lost from repeatedly hanging up on them with my cheek...

  10. GeoffD says:

I hope we see some Logic instruments like ultrabeat for iPhone or Main Stage Mobile

  11. JimmyD says:

    I want a 200G iPod Classic.

  12. Shrike says:

They'll show the multitasking UI for the iPad. Boring would be just the double tap and swiping the multitasking "dock". For the iPhone, they chose an implementation that could be done one handed. For the iPad, well, that's hard to do. So, curious to see how they are going to do it.

  13. Byebyebb says:

This is my 2nd 4 with proximity sensor issues....worse than ass dialing. Please fix, netflix was a nice gift.

  14. Rob says:

I will be surprised to see a proximity sensor fix.

  15. Chris says:

I am hoping that besides a Retina Display for the iPod Touch it would have GPS.

  16. Edie says:

i doubt there will be an "iTV" this year. Maybe January. I think there will the "updates", White iPhone 4, availability, antennas issue update, a software rollout, and then the iPods! iPod touch with Retina Display and IPS technology. New hardware design, A4, Gyroscope, and still skeptical about those cameras. But Facetime looks more likely since the iPod touch is a wi-fi device. As for the nanos, i have no idea in mind.

Can't wait to see the iPod 2010's. (:

  17. Paul says:

We are going to get HDMI cable connection for iPad and iPhone for media center hookup! Well that's my prediction.

  18. John says:

Seems to me the 1.5 inch touchscreen for a iPod nano isn't very useful without apps. So maybe an app store for the nano.

More likely though is the 1.5 inch touchscreen is for a itv remote (for those without ios devices already), not included in the $99 price.

  19. Hoffa says:

A ios4 firmware just for 3G user to fix performance issues. I know this is off topic but man do I love the netflix app on iPhone

  20. James says:

good call john. the gamecenter thing sounds cool. thats a definite. probably included in ios4.1
