iOS 4.1 went live just a short time ago and we're eager to hear if you updated or if you're waiting, and if you did update, whether or not the update fixed any issues you had with iOS 4.

In addition to all the new features like Game Center and HDR photography, iOS 4.1 also claims to fix proximity sensor, Bluetooth, and iPhone 3G performance bugs.

Let us know in the poll up top, and give us the details in the comments below!

What's your Game Center ID? [Waiting for games]
  1. Romar says:

    Downloading now!!!

  2. Caballera says:

I'm curious if it fixed this issue: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2544949&tstart=15

that other iPhone 3GS users (and myself) are experiencing. I'm having this issue with my iPhone although I haven't had a chance to update to 4.1 (won't be able to till later this evening).

  3. (Copy of) Dev says:

Minorly annoyed that Game Center was put on my first screen, pushing other icons around.

  4. Toddfromables says:

Wanna see how it goes for the 3G

  5. Andrclvn says:

My proximity sensor is still a little iffy, notice in the daytime works fine and at night its a toss up. I also noticed that i have better reception in my house than before I updated it and the bluetooth is working fine no drops or anything like that.

  6. Darrin says:

I cannot seem to get update for my son's iPod touch. Shows there is none. But his is the model just before the one that came out today.

  7. sting7k says:

Just installed. Kind of a snooze fest.

  8. Andrclvn says:

What is the deal with Game Center still not working properly ?

  9. sting7k says:

Ok so I have 42 games on my iPhone 4 right now and gamecenter says I have zero...do these apps all need updates now? What was everyone playing with the GM seed the past week?

  10. Marc says:

Upgraded my Iphone 3 from 4.0 to 4.1. Only thing I was able to test so far was the Maps. The extreme laggyness seems to be gone.

  11. Tony says:

I had Game Center on a beta version of iOS 4 a while back, had it all setup. When I updated to Gold Master, naturally it was gone. iOS 4.1 put it back, and now it says that "The email address specified already exists for this person." when I tried to sign in. Any thoughts?

  12. sting7k says:

Also, the first time I started gamecenter it had my AppleID email there and asked if I wanted to use that. I set it up and then it said I had to verify my email for some reason. I followed the link that I was sent to an Apple website and it said that the email was now associated with my appleID. But I've been using that email as my AppleID and with my AppleID for years now...

  13. Mike says:

I updated and surprise....... 33 voicemails dating back to July. Also, I've dropped approx. 10-15 calls in the past 2 hours. Bad install? HDR seems pretty cool and I think my proximity sensor is fixed.

  14. Veronica says:

Has anyone upgraded with 3G? I'm a little scared to do so myself. My performance is super slow, but I'd rather that than it be worse.

  15. Boron78 says:

For me it fixed a Bug in my Mercedes Benz Command. Now I can import my contacts again. Has been broken in 4.0!

  16. Dave says:

Just updated my 3G. Interesting findings. Overall speed issues seem to be better. After initial reset 17 voicemails that did not go through in the last 60 days showed up (Glad I finally got them). My google contacts and mail disappeared. (Was using exchange for contacts and calendar and preset gmail account on iphone for mail) I switched to all 3 services on the exchange and it seems to work for now. I've also noticed that the wifi symbol will go off and only 3G symbol is present even though I am connected to wifi. If I cycle the power the wifi symbol comes back for a few minutes.

  17. Khill says:

3G seems to be snappier, though I was shocked that I didn't see Game Center! Don't know how I missed that it wasn't going to be on the 3G, but I did.

    At least it's running faster.

  18. Frank says:

3G seems better than it was before update. Calendar seems quicker, as does mail.

  19. Mike says:

My 3G is definitely faster. Is it super-fast? Nope, but that would be unrealistic. Definitely more usable. Haven't tested it extensively yet, obviously, but very relieved that the camera actually comes on in time for me to take the photo I wanted, maps are much faster, and in general it's much more responsive. Again, don't expect a miracle, but a solid gain. My slowest thing so far seems to be the calendar, which takes a few moments to display my day.

  20. Veronica says:

I finally updated my 3G and it seems to be slightly faster. I'm okay with it, I just hope it doesn't slow down for some reason. Come on, white iPhone 4... I'm waiting for you.

  21. Axel says:

Rene, I just noticed the App Store now fully supports Retina Display.

  22. The Game says:

@Axel I just noticed this too. App icons on the App Store are all perfect, but if the apps themselves haven't been updated the icon is still all fuzzy/clunky when you download them.

  23. The Game says:

Example: Apple's Remote App looks beautiful on the App Store but when you download it you see it still has the non retina icon. Interesting.

  24. parp says:

Did not fix my Bluetooth issues with my 2008 Nissan Rogue. My Bluetooth worked flawlessly on my original iPhone, and my 3gs until I updated it to iOS 4.0. My iPhone 4 has the same problems. Loses connections and can't even answer it. Very disappointing!!! I suppose Apple thinks I should just get a different car!

  25. Leigh says:

lag on my 3G has gone thank god but, y no game centre please add game centre..:-(

  26. Jeffrey says:

Do you have to update to 4.0.2 before updating to 4.1? I'm currently on 3.1.3 and the only update that shows is 4.0.2.

  27. Redshirt says:

It's a cumulative update, so you just go to 4.1.

  28. Bluetooth still appears flaky. Not had a chance to check the proximity sensor yet.

  29. Chip Chipperson says:

Thanks for messing up my icons update

  30. Veronica says:

@Jeffrey Did you upgdate your iTunes? You have to do that to get the new update.

  31. Puhe Elin says:

Field test mode is back! HDR is realistic... I cannot express how much this phone owns now.

  32. Jeffrey says:

@Veronica I do have the latest iTunes. For some reason, it's showing now. I guess my computer didn't see it for awhile.

  33. AppleCentric says:

Gonna wait a bit and see what the feedback is from other 3G owners. From what I see here, initial experiences seem to be good, but I want to give it at least a few days. Good luck!

  34. PHOENIX says:

Couldnt wait to update to 4.1 for the sake of the proximity sensor. I don't make phone calls with the phone in my hand always doing work or kids or something its inevitable the phone is on the shoulder and the head is leaned over pinching the phone. Its still hanging up, dialing, placing calls on hold, mute you name it. It was good for a bit but right back. Im really disappointed with this Im to the point where I just want a phone with buttons so I can make calls. I have also noticed emails take 3 times longer to send out and pages take a long time to load in safari. one last vent! I am sick and tired of typing me and it correcting to mr. FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  35. PHOENIX says:

oh and one more. Camera when video taping/recording when you hit the stop button it freezes. Your not sure if it worked or what. It does work though.

  36. jamie says:

calendar bug: starts up empty if you close it in list view, so far that's the only bug i see on iphone 3g. speed has improved, but the calendar bug bugs me!

  37. iMaks says:

My iPod Touch 2g is stuck in restore mode. I was at iOS 4.0.2 and decided to restore instead of just update to iOS 4.1 and I have waited several hours, but it is still not moving past about 96-98% on the screen. I don't know what to do. My iPod is out of warranty, by the way.

  38. dwshack says:

4.1 did not fix the A2DP Bluetooth issue that many of us are having... see post: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2469559&start=15&tstart=0

    Very disappointed!

  39. Robo says:

Poll doesn't work. The update did improve my 3G, and my battery life is noticeably longer.

  40. Edie says:

I have had no issue with proximity sensor. But the accelerometer and unlocking the phone is a lag. I downloaded the feature about 10 minutes ago. Have been playing with the HDR, and it's magic! Works as advertised. Nice update Apple.

  41. iMec0214 says:

I know this update was mostly meant to fix the problems of the iPhone 4 and 3G, but since I updated my iPhone, 3GS, earlier, I have noticed my idevice isn't as sluggish and choppy if you will as before. Now i don't know If it's to early to tell but I sure am glad Mr. Jobs showed us 3GS users some love. Are any other 3GS users out there notice the same?

  42. Edie says:

mybad: put feature instead of update.

  43. AlanJN says:

Major lag in scrolling NYT app this morning on my iphone4. Did not respond to multiple swipes, then finally speed-jumped to end of page. HDR seems great!

  44. kirbini says:

Holy-Crap-Amazing improvement on my 3G. However no Game Center? WTF??? How am I supposed to get my early handle now?

One weirdness: I was jailbroken and was using 5-Icon Dock at the time. I've upgraded from this state before and one of the 5 icons ended up in the first available slot. Not this time. One of the icons on the dock simply disappeared. It is not to be found anywhere except through search. Seriously, the game is gone from all screens but if I search for it it is found and I can play. Odd.

  45. Billy says:

NO! 4.1! WHY? My battery life has gone to crap. They had the battery life just right now I feel like I have my 3GS back. VERY DISAPPOINTED! What in the world was changed to screw up my battery life. 2% dropped while writing this...

  46. SteveC says:

Overall, my 3G is much better! I certainly welcome Field Test back! I wish they would have addressed the camera roll problem (Black tiles)...

  47. Cleveland says:

For some reason my browser doesn?t display this web page correctly? Anyway, it was a seriously interesting report, retain up the fantastic operate and i will be again for additional

  48. James says:

Fixed the proximity sensor? How about making it twice as worse! I can barely use the phone without a headset. Massive, massive fail on the sensor!

  49. Hoffa says:

I don't know what I was expecting, but 3G performance is way better. Slide the slider on the lock screen it slides when with my finger. I was going to give apple props before I found out the specs of the iPod touch 4g

  50. BoGuS says:

    @James, ditto!

I decided to keep my phone past the initial 30 day mark from purchase since information was released that a future software update would rectify the proximity sensor issue. I patiently waited, placing call after call on speaker phone and then hanging up and calling someone else from my "Favorites" list, only to find out that the problem has gotten WORSE with this update.

Will an Apple store be of any assistance if I bought my iphone4 at an AT&T store?

  51. Joe says:

Not updating till a jailbreak is out but I'm happy to hear I'm not the only person whose autocorrect changes me to mr. Soooo annoying

  52. Chuck says:

iPhone 3G updated from ver 3.1.3 to iOS 4.1 Bigest issue is if I make any data connection then close that app and open another, no data connection available. Have been able to use settings to reset all network connections. Hit and miss. Will attempt restore as new next.

  53. Kasheem says:

Ever since I upgraded tha software I been gettin no service

  54. Kasheem says:

Ever since I upgraded tha software I been gettin no service In my house
