iPad 2 launches tomorrow in the US
Apple has sent out a press release reminding us -- as if we needed it! -- that iPad 2 will go on sale tomorrow in the US. Online orders via store.apple.com begin at 1am PT/4am ET so it'll be early to rise for internet buyers. Retail sales start at 5pm local time but if you plan to get one in person be aware the lineups will probably start much earlier!
iPad 2, the next generation of its magical device for browsing the web, reading and sending email, enjoying photos, watching videos, listening to music, playing games, reading ebooks and much more, will be available tomorrow at 5 p.m. local time at all 236 Apple retail stores in the US and through the Apple Store® (www.apple.com) beginning at 1 a.m. PT. Every customer who buys an iPad 2 at an Apple retail store will be offered free Personal Setup service, helping them customize their iPad 2 by setting up email, loading new apps from the App Store℠ and more, so they’ll be up and running with their new iPad 2 before they leave the store. iPad 2 will also be available beginning at 5 p.m. local time at AT&T, Best Buy, Target, Verizon Wireless, Walmart and select Apple Authorized Resellers.
If you're outside the US, the story hasn't changed:
iPad 2 will be available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK on March 25; and in many more countries around the world in the coming months. Further international availability and pricing will be announced at a later date.

FYI - I talked to someone at Best Buy who told me they will sell them tomorrow when the doors open (not at 5pm). If he's wrong, I'm just passing along what I heard. We'll see.
I plan on calling the local best buy/walmart to see what they say. They're both within minutes of my job so i can get to either one before coming into work.
My best buy manager told me the same but I decided I'm just gonna go to the apple store early in the morning and wait for till 5pm! Get the full experience with all my friends =] too stoked! Gonna have a groovy time
Just look at the BestBuy site. Says on sale after 5pm local time.
Chances are if your BB store sells it early, they're going to be in some serious doodoo
apple probably has strict rules about not selling before 5PM and if sales are made the store probably faces heavy fines and the manager probably wont be worknig there any longer.

Right but if i dont have an ipad..tomorrow i will have paid the same as you for something thats faster with more features and cameras. Just depends how you look at it.
I've called the 4 walmarts by my house all have 6 coming tomorrow 2 16 g black 2 16g white and 2 64g black

Just got quanity details at my local BestBuy (larger store) 10 32gig 3g's in (black/att). That's the one I want so that's all I needed to know.
I'm not waiting for iPad 2 now (because it'll take some time to launch on my country, Indonesia). But I'm waiting for the iMovie and GarageBand for my iPad 1. I AM REALLY HOPING, that those app could run on 1st gen iPad.
