Angry Birds Rio for iPhone, iPad released!
The much anticipated sequel to Angry Birds, Angry Birds Rio is starting to hit the App Store! New Zealand got it first but it'll keep rolling out over the course of the night and everyone should get it soon. Now, you thought the birds were angry before? After being kidnapped and caged by evil smugglers, they are even angrier! Once the furious fowl escape their captors, they are on a mission to save Blu and Jewel - two rare macaws and stars of the upcoming Fox motion picture, Rio.

There are two version available, Angry Birds Rio for iPhone and iPod touch, and Angry Birds Rio HD for iPad.

Ah just realized it says those are new Zealand app store links and it still isn't avail in the us app store. Will have to try again in the morning. Oh well. Didn't want to stay up all night playing it anyways so ha!

Yeah, they probably set the release date to the 22nd. It's already past midnight here and it's available.

Angry birds on graphics steroids. No pigs? And diffilculty is ridiculously easy. Finished already and i'm not that good at it. No challenge whatsoever.
Why are there ads if it's a paid app?
I haven't seen any ads yet at all. Game is okay, and yeah, so far it's not very challenging.
Why can't they make a universal iphone/ipad app instead of separate apps for each?
