Jonathan Ive not returning to the UK after all?

UK newspaper The Daily Mail, has published an article profiling the life of Apple’s SVP of Industrial Design Jonathan Ive. The most interesting point to come from the article is a quote from one of Ive’s former colleagues when asked about the recent rumor of Ive wanting to return to the UK.

I’m not sure there is any truth he wants to come back. My last conversations with him were that he was planning to sell his house in the UK.

The article goes on to tell us about how Ive became what he is today at Apple and the road he followed to get there. It is well worth reading. On a personal view, it is good to know that some of his early years were spent at Newcastle Polytechnic, based in my home town!

  1. Jason masters says:

Is he living in cailfornia now? If so that's understandable the weather is excellent compared to the uk. Or maybe he's Americanized that happens a lot I've never seen the reverse though that's what makes us unique.

  2. Kaye says:

Maybe u haven't seen the reverse as geographically you are, I presume, based in the US and therefore unlikely to see anglicised Americans. Although I can't argue that Californian weather is a billion times better then here in the UK

    • Jason masters says:

I've lived abroad and I just don't see it it tends to be more of foreigners who fall in love with America and stay here don't get me wrong I would love to live in other countries like Italy, Germany, France but I always come home there's nothing like the freedom here no matter what anyone says!

  3. BACHOKO says:

YES! i love him, i hope he stay

  4. Iain 117 says:

Hey Chris, didn't realise you were from Newcastle!

Give you a Wey Aye to a fellow Geordie! ;-)

  5. Joe McG says:

The fanboy love of Johnny Ive is borderline homosexual.

Not that there's anything wrong with that...
