Apple has just made its Find My Friends app available to download. Find My Friends allows users of iOS 5 devices to see each other’s location on a map.

Find My Friends allows you to easily locate your friends and family from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Install this free app on your iOS 5 device and sign in with your Apple ID you use with iCloud. Adding a friend is easy – just send a request to see their location. Once your friend accepts using the Find My Friends app, you will then be able to see that friend’s location on a list or on a map.
  • Easily locate friends and family
  • Temporary sharing option
  • Simple privacy controls
  • Parental restrictions
  • Free for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch
To use the app, you must be running iOS 5 and have an iCloud account. A fetish for stitched leather also helps!

BIG issue for those of us (most) who have apple id for purchases, and separate @me.com for email ect.

To use, you need to log in with your @me.com address. One logging in, it says you need to verify your email... Go to apple, go to verify email, and it has it listed, but won't let you verify, because the emails address is already in use with another account (your store purchase account).

I assumed I could just change the email on my store purchase account, but it won't let me.

    I'm basically busted.

iOS 5, that finished a entrance during Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in June, outlines a branch indicate for a company’s mobile software. Yes, it’s mostly a collection of tweaks, improvements, and fiddling with a attempted and loyal formula, though it’s also one that–for a initial time–breaks iOS inclination detached from computers regulating Apple’s iTunes program and goes serve to try to harmonize a inclination into a same family.

Find My Friends is a joke. I've talked to 3 linked friends and they all get the same results - "LOCATION NOT AVAILABLE". Thanks for nothing Apple.

  16. Bruce Wofford says:

Just one more disappointment in a long list of apps that only work if all the stars are lined up perfectly. "Location Not Available" is the only response I get unless the sought device is here under the same roof!

I intended to put you the very small word just to say thank you as beofre over the amazing basics you've shared on this website. It is so incredibly generous of people like you to provide extensively all that a lot of people could have offered for an e book to help make some money for their own end, mostly seeing that you might have done it in the event you decided. Those good tips as well acted like the easy way to know that someone else have the identical fervor the same as my very own to figure out whole lot more in terms of this matter. I think there are thousands of more pleasurable moments ahead for people who scan through your blog.
