Georgia and I had a lot of fun with iPhone-controlled helicopters a few weeks ago on TiPb TV -- so much fun the iMore Store folks got jealous and went and stocked some iSuper Helicopters of their own. They've got two sizes, large and small, so you can choose how big you want to roll fly.

All you have to do is grab an iSuper Helicopter, download the free app, and take to the skies.

Features

  • Built-in gyroscope for stable control
  • User-friendly interface
  • Durable metal frame
  • Record and playback functionality of flights and patterns
  • Safe landing function
  • Emergency landing function
  • Play music while flying

  1. Interesting that the tail rotor is parallel to the main rotors, unlike those of real choppers. Thus it can only contribute to the iSuper's pitch, not yaw as with other helicopters' vertical tail rotors. I wonder how the iSuper "turns" in the air. Maybe by adjusting the lower main rotor's speed to let torque spin the body? Hmmm...

FYI you can pick up non-iPhone controlled versions of these (tacticle feedback is better anyway) for $20 on Amazon.

FlopTech: You are correct, the helicopter doesn't roll to turn, it just turns left/right in place. Not the same as a "real" helicopter, but for $20 it's still plenty fun!
