Ingress celebrates two year birthday with new monthly event "First Saturdays"
Real-world adventure game Ingress will be celebrating its second birthday this year, and it's doing so in style. Google's Niantic Labs, which runs the game, will be kicking off the celebration with a new monthly event series called "First Saturdays" which will serve to bring new Ingress "agents" into the fold. The events will run simultaneously in 120 cities across the world, and will be entirely player-driven.

T-Mobile wants better coverage inside your home and it's asking the FCC for help
T-Mobile wants its phones, tablets, and devices to work better in your homes and buildings, and to do so it is petitioning the FCC to make that happen. The Un-carrier wants to be able to buy more low-band spectrum to improve in-building coverage in the next FCC auction, and T-Mobile wants the FCC to alter a few rules to help it succeed.

TestFlight allows developers to test their apps before releasing them to the App Store with up to 25 internal members of the team and 1,000 external testers through an email invite.

How to turn off Find My iPhone remotely and bypass Activation Lock
If you're running iOS 7 or higher on your iPhone or iPad, Find My iPhone now comes with a feature called Activation Lock that prevents someone from wiping and using your device without your authorization. While it's a great theft deterrent, it can create a problem if you sell or get rid of a device before disabling Find My iPhone First. Most commonly the problem comes up with second hand iPhones that have been bought, sold, or traded. Luckily, the previous owner can deactivate Find My iPhone remotely which should then, in turn, allow you to bypass Activation Lock.

Apple and GT Advanced Technologies reach a settlement
GT Advanced Technologies has officially reached a settlement with Apple in a deal that lines up with the one reported earlier this week. GT will wind down its sapphire production in Arizona and Massachusetts, and they will retain the right to sell their production materials. As part of the settlement, GT Advanced will be let out of any exclusivity agreement with Apple.
