NSFW: Developers hold the future of Apple Watch in their hands
NSFW is a weekly op-ed column in which I talk about whatever's on my mind. Sometimes it'll have something to do with the technology we cover here on iMore; sometimes it'll be whatever pops into my head. Your questions, comments and observations are welcome.
I've been running on fewer cylinders than usual this week. A week ago last Thursday I had an operation that I've been planning for a while (gastric bypass surgery, for the curious), so I've spent most of this week recuperating. And by "recuperating," I mean stewing in a Vicodin-induced stupor. So if I'm having trouble mustering the requisite rage for one of my weekly curmudgeon rants, I apologize. This week I'm ruminating on the Apple Watch.

Call Recorder for FaceTime also records Handoff relay calls
Ecamm's Call Recorder for FaceTime is a Mac app that does what its name implies. The Mac OS X application records both sides of your FaceTime video calls so you can preserve your FaceTime memories. An added benefit with Call Recorder for FaceTime is that it can also handle recording for phone relay calls. This way, if you get a call on your iPhone and answer it via your Mac thanks to the relay feature of iOS and OS X, you can record audio calls that way as well.

iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus capable of 4K video playback
You may not realize it, but the new Apple A8 processor on the latest iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus can handle 4K video playback even though the smaller Apple phone has a native resolution of 1334 X 750 pixels while the larger Plus model has a 1080p Full HD display with 1920 X 1080 pixels. Though you won't get a pixel-for-pixel output on the phones' screens, the A8's ability to handle 4K playback means that users who sideload 4K content would be able to still watch it on their phones.
