Adobe updates Photoshop Touch for the iPhone, brings quick selection tool and new brushes

Photoshop touch

Adobe Photoshop Touch for iPhone has just been updated with a handful of new tools, including more brushes for fine corrections, and a new quick selector akin to what's available in big boy Photoshop. EXIF data is also retained now when editing a JPEG, the ability to use iOS native typefaces, and a batch of bug fixes. It doesn't seem the iPad version got the same update, though the two have different development paths.

As always, Photoshop Touch offers a wide range of adjustments, editing, and layer work. Most of the major Photoshop functions are here, and for anything else, the app plugs in with Adobe Creative Cloud so shots can be easily moved over for editing on your PC. I'd personally have a hard time doing fine detail editing on an iPhone, and would instead opt for broad, simple editing through other apps or working on the iPad, but these are welcome changes.

How many of you guys have done PS Touch editing on the iPhone? iPad? Be sure to take a gander at our favorite photo editing iOS apps if you're looking for some alternatives.

Can Photoshop Touch change canvas size? Very few iPhone apps can, and I'm looking for something better than ArtStudio or Filterstorm.

Thanks.
