AirServer update lets you record, save video from your iOS device

AirServer, a Mac tool that turns you Mac into an AirPlay receiver, has been updated to version 5.0. With AirServer, you can do anything you could do with an Apple TV, like watch video or mirror the display of your iOS device. The latest release lets you record what you send to your computer, and even save a copy of photos and videos streamed to your computer. You can find both the save and record controls with the playback controls in the video window.

You can download a free trial of AirServer that lasts seven days. A full license that covers three computers, Mac or PC, will cost $14.99, while an education license, also covering three computers, costs $11.99 and requires an authentic email address from an educational institution to purchase. Bulk licenses, meant to cover schools and businesses needing to reach more than ten computers, cost $3.99 each, with each lisence covering one computer.
