Apple is rethinking its purchase process for the iPhone 6 by introducing a virtual queue system called Reservation Pass. Instead of issuing paper cards to customers waiting in line, retail store executives will issue digital reservation cards, which are sent via a text message or email.
The new reservation system means that once you get your pass, you can leave the line and come back later in the day to purchase the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. The Reservation Pass system syncs with a store's inventory, which curtails store employees from handing out too many passes. The system is devised to make it easier for consumers to get a hold of the new devices, and for store executives to better manage their inventory.
The new iPhones will be available starting September 19, with pre-orders set to commence from this Friday.
What do you busy think of the digital reservation system? Are you looking forward to the launch of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus?
