macbook air

Apple's event this week will reportedly feature new iPads, OS X Yosemite, and a new, high-resolution iMac, but not a long-rumored Retina MacBook Air.

A new version of Apple's thin and light laptop will not be making an appearance at the event, according to John Paczkowski of Re/code:

Apple may well have a new MacBook Air with Retina Display in the pipeline, but it's not going to unveil it this week. Sources familiar with Apple's plans tell me that the company's latest reimagining of the ultralight laptop won't be shown off at its Thursday event.

Apple's event will take place this Thursday, October 16 at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET.
