Apple has sent out invitations for this year's iPhone event. The tag line reads "Hey Siri, give us a hint!" and it's widely expected that hint will include the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and the new Apple TV. Also on tap, the next-generaton software that makes it all run, including iOS 9 and watchOS 2.

The invitation shows the top of the Apple logo, which has been used several times in recent years, stylized to resemble the new Siri interface. That and the overt mention of Siri in the invitation text should lead to some fun speculation going into the event.

Apple has already shown off Siri Intelligence as part of the upcoming iOS 9 software update, including proactive assistance and integration with text search. That hasn't stopped wish-lists from overflowing with desires for on-board Siri processing and other, additional features.

The elephant—or tiny little box—in the room, of course, is Siri for Apple TV. So, let the fun fantasizing escalate!

The iPhone event will be held at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco on Wednesday, September 9, starting at 10:00 a.m. Apple will stream it live over HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) to iOS, Apple TV, Safari on Mac, and Edge on Windows 10.

iMore will be there live to bring you all the color, commentary, and analysis you've come to expect!

UPDATE: Siri really is getting into the hint game
