Developers will be able to get a head start on developing apps for watchOS 2, as the Developer Beta will be available starting today, with a public release is due this fall.
The newly announced watchOS 2 will be available starting today for developers as a beta, with a public release coming this fall. Developers will be able to download the new OS so that they are able to begin coding their apps to take advantage of the new features. Apple included native apps, a smarter Siri, additional watchfaces, and much more. With this developer preview, developers can integrate these new features and functionality into their app, to have the apps ready for consumers when the official launch drops in the fall.
If you have a registered Apple Developer account, be on the lookout later today for the beta to appear.
