ARCHOS to launch iOS compatible connected home devices, smartwatches at CES

Connected devices are an ever growing space, but an unlikely source is set to announce a raft of devices at CES next week that will integrate with iOS devices. ARCHOS, known for its media players and Android devices of late, is set to announce a whole 'Connected Home' range of products in Las Vegas:

ARCHOS connected objects are compatible with both Android and iOS platforms, provide real time information monitoring from anywhere and utilize Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity to ensure extended use without the need of recharging. Completely wireless and easy to pair, ARCHOS connected objects are miniaturized and styled to blend into your home environment.

Connected Home is set to comprise a series of Bluetooth Low Energy devices such as a mini cam, motion ball, movement tag, weather tag and smart plug. The devices can be controlled either through a dedicated tablet sold by Archos, or through a companion app which will be available for iOS.

It doesn't stop there either, with ARCHOS also set to launch a selection of smartwatches with a "Pebble-like design" that will again be compatible with iOS, but importantly will hit store shelves with starting prices less than $50.

The Mobile Nations team will be out in Las Vegas in force for CES, and #CESLive, so stay tuned for all the very best from the show floor!
