Batman: Arkham Origins free to play brawler headed to iOS

Announced at New York Comic Con this weekend, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have announced Batman: Arkham Origins, a new free-to-play brawler mobile action game coming first to iOS.

A mobile version of a new console game, Batman: Arkham Origins is a prequel to the events of the Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City video games.

Taking place before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous villains and assassins, the game showcases a young, raw, unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight.

You can upgrade your character with new abilities, new and unique Batsuits, and collect in-game currency and rewards.

NetherRealm Studios, the developer behind Batman: Arkham Origins, is the creator of the well-regarded DC Comics-licensed brawler Injustice: Gods Among Us.
