Apple uses 'Strength' TV ad to focus on wearables and fitness apps

If you were tuned into the Stanley Cup finals you may have caught the new ad Apple is running. Dubbed 'Strength' and set aside the Robert Preston's song 'Chicken Fat', the ad focuses on wearables and fitness apps available to use on iOS by showing folks using a number of them throughout the video.

From running with Nike+, to weighing yourself using a WiThings scale, to using the Misfit Shine Activity and Sleep Monitor, Apple hit a lot of areas and ways iOS can help you be fit. It didn't make me want to put down the big ol' bag of potato chips I was eating but that's just me.

This is what happens when you load a Mac Pro with explosive C4

I'm not really into blowing up expensive electronics with C4 or anything else for that matter but I'm perfectly fine when other people do it on the stuff they spent their own money on. Who am I to care what they do with it? It's their money. Plus, it provides me with some mindless entertainment when I end up on the weird part of YouTube late on a Friday night.

Want to do a little racing and maybe help make a difference in someone’s life? Then look no further than Sidekick Cycle from Global Gaming Initiative. Sidekick Cycle is a 2D racing game in which players bike through obstacle courses filled with ramps and crazy loops. The iOS game has just received a major update that doubles its content, adding lots more levels and riders.

Now comes the part where gamers can do some good. Sidekick Cycle is free to play with in-app purchases. Fifty percent of in-app purchases go towards the “Free Bikes 4 Kidz” charity based out of Minneapolis, MN.
