According to All Things D, Apple will announce the iPad 3 in the first week of March. All Things D have a superb track record when it comes to the timing of Apple events; so this is probably as accurate as you are going to get until it is officially announced.
Following up on the information iMore received yesterday on potential ZFS hooks in iOS 5.1, a reliable source let us know that Apple has been investing heavily in ZFS appliances from Oracle. (Whether or not this will be made public is unknown; it doesn’t seem to be right now.)
Apple may have begun testing what appears to be ZFS (Zettabyte File System) support in the latest iOS 5.1 beta.
