My name is Ty, I'm an unordinary girl from Metro Detroit. I've been into technology my whole life, and have been fortunate enough to have the means to support my Tech Addiction. How long have you been an iPhone or iPad user?

I've been a iPhone user since the 1st Gen was available. I had it jailbroken, and was using it on T-Mobile. I haven't missed a model since. I started using the iPad when the iPad 2 was released. Stood in line at Best Buy on release day and was hooked! When the 1st gen came out I wasn't interested enough, I knew the 2nd gen would have a lot more in store; knowing Apple's history.

What brought you to iOS?

I've been a Apple user all my life, so when they moved into phones and tablets it was just a given. I love the interface, how smooth it runs, its user-friendly and great for those who are just learning.

What brought you to iMore?

I like forums and iMore was a iOS community that I felt fit. iMore grabbed my attention back when I was switching between the iPhone, Android and BlackBerry; and were using CrackBerry and the one for Android. I just so happen to look up and there iMore was. =)

So, tell us a little about yourself?

Hy my name is Steve. California native currently living in the Midwest, I miss the beach. I am an estimator for a disaster restoration/construction co. so our fortune is due to someone else’s misfortune. I like mountain biking, sports, concerts, listening to music and hanging with the family. I hope to move back to Cali in the next year or two, so fingers crossed for that!

How long have you been an iPhone or iPad user?

I have been an iphone user for about 3 years now. Previously was a BlackBerry user and never thought I would leave. My first iDevice was the iPhone 3G

What brought you to iOS?

At the time I had an upgrade coming due so naturally I was testing the waters to see if there actually was anything better than my BlackBerry. After reading forums and comments about the iPhone the consensus was it was more of a gimmicky device but I went ahead and made the jump anyways. Very glad I did!

What brought you to iMore?

Coming from CrackBerry.com I was looking for another reputable site/forum to join and at the time TiPb -- now iMore -- was the perfect fit for me, still is. I have made a lot of friends and there are a lot of helpful members here. All the things what a forum/community should be, plus excellent and up to date news. Thanks to all that make this work.

What are your favorite apps?

Typically I jailbreak my device so I have a lot of favorites from Cydia but assuming we’re talking App store I would have to say some of my most used would be:

• ScoreMobile
• Spotify
• Pandora

What are your favorite accessories?

I am not a big fan of cases so I am “naked” for the most part. In regards to other accessories I guess I have not really taken the time to dabble like most.

What are you most looking forward to from Apple in the future?

I am really looking forward to the next iPhone since I skipped the iPhone 4S in hopes of a design change. Also, I will be buying my first iPad this year (iPad 3) so I am pretty stoked about that and if everything goes well a MacBook also. Then the ecosystem will be complete!

Many of you are aware of the makeover we have given the TiPb forums, but we have no intention of stopping there. We are constantly thinking of new add-ons that will make your experience even better.

Enter the "Like" button.

So what's the difference between the existing "Thanks" button and the new "Like" button? "Thanks" values the author, "Like" values the content. So, when you "Thank" a post, you're giving credit to another forum member because they answered your question, provided a link or guide that helped you out, etc. It gives them a pat on the virtual back. When you "Like" a particular post, you're recommending the information. You're giving it a thumbs up.

Clicking the "Like" button on a post will put a "Like" tree at the top of that particular thread. Clicking that then drops down the most liked posts of that entire thread. So in a single click you can get to the best posts that may be deep into a thread vs. having to scroll through page after page of posts.

So that's our new "Like" button. Be sure to check it out along with all of the other improvements we've made by visiting the forums today!

As most of our TiPb Forums regulars probably noticed, we've been moving things around on a fairly massive scale lately. Basically, we're going from a nice home in the burbs to a big party house in the hills. That's because you deserve more -- more space to play and more features to play with.

We've done some work on the blogs already and started a new Mobile Nations podcast, so it was about time we gave the forums some love.

It also means, like any move to bigger digs, some of the rooms will be a little empty for a while. We can only stretch the furniture so far!
