Otterbox shows off Reflex case for iPhone - TiPb at CES 2011

If the Otterbox Defender is like full plate armor when it comes to iPhone protection, and the Commuter is plate mail, then the newly announced Reflex is easy on, easy off, ultra modern kevlar.

Rather than layers of soft silicone and hard plastic, Reflex is a two part plastic shell that slides off when you want to dock and slides back on when you're ready rock.

We got a look at it live at CES 2011, so check out the video and let us know what you think -- old school Defender or new school Reflex?

I wantz... Any idea of colors? I'd love some black w/yellow highlights. Hope the TiPb Store gets em so we can have a giveaway (please!).

I think the concept is good, but I'd be interested in knowing what the inside of the case is like; are you going to scratch up your phone with the constant sliding on/off?
I'll probably go with the Defender when my i4 arrives at the end of the month. A coworker of mine has it on his i4, and I've spent some time holding the phone and using it, and I like how it feels. In fact I'm ordering the Defender before the phone so it's here and ready to go on the phone when it arrives.

looks like otterbox missed the glassgate memo... good luck with that. i'll stick to my defender and commuter. want to dock? buy a dock extender. once the reviews come out and it is found to work with a back film protector, perhaps i'll reconsider.
