PwnageTool 4.3.2 is now untethered!

As you can see from the tweet above, the Dev Team has updated their popular PwnageTool to support an untethered jailbreak under iOS 4.3.2. You now have the option of using either PwnageTool or redsn0w to jailbreak iOS 4.3.2.

We have experienced some issues with jailbreaking iOS 4.3.2. Some users say they have had issues as well while others are perfectly fine. I'm personally staying on 4.2.1 for now since I have no compelling reason to upgrade.

The updated version of PwnageTool is available at the link below. It supports the following devices -

  • iPhone 3GS
  • iPhone 4 (GSM)
  • iPod touch 3G
  • iPod touch 4G
  • iPad First generation

So iPad 2 users and Verizon iPhone users need not apply. And a final note to unlockers - you should only ever use a custom IPSW when upgrading firmware. While ultrasn0w will unlock your iPhone running iOS 4.3.2, that only applies if you are running an older baseband. So never restore to a stock firmware in iTunes because that will not preserve your baseband! Check out more details and grab your download from the link below!

PwnageTool 4.3.2 is now untethered!

Don't know what the JB issues may be. I ran redsn0w on my iPhone 4 v4.3.2 and it's worked just fine. Had to set to Win XP compatibility mode and run as Administrator but no other issues/tweaks found.

I think some people are having more crashing issues after the jailbreak - not necessarily because of the jailbreak utility itself.
Cody, our newest writer has had several more springboard crashes. He ended up downgrading. But it could always be app issues with a new firmware as well.

Its redicilous that they still don't have an untethered solution for 4.2.7. Like there's so much to do to handle that exploit when they take care of the others. Oh well.

My iPad came with 4.3.1, it was too late to ge shsh blobs so I am sol. I haven't even seen a jailbreak for iPad 2, how do you know about 4.3? It was shown but not release to my knowledge.

Awwwww...another AT&T fanboy. I enjoy how stupid people sound when they blindly support something and are extremely close minded. "What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may god have mercy on your soul..."

Anyone knows if an unlock exists for 4.3.1?!?
I'm looking to unlock my iPhone 4 for the first time... I read in many places that u need an already unlocked phone to be able to do an unlock on 4.3.1...

I am still on 4.2.1
What is the advantage of upgrading to 4.3.2 and re-jailbreaking vs. keeping my iP4 as is?
