App Giveaway: MadPad by Smule

Smule has released a new music app for iOS, MadPad. It's a video soundboard - of your life. After using the camera on your iPhone or iPad 2, you record 12 tiny clips of video and sound to create your soundboard, you're ready to start remixing.

I work in a freshman residence hall on a college campus in central PA. I want to walk around gathering the different sounds you hear in the building (keys jingling, doors unlocking, toilets flushing, laundry machines, etc) and make a Building Remix to share with the residents. I think it would be a fun way to get everyone together.

Chadrick Pickens says:

I would really love the iPad version. I work in a preschool and I know the kids would love to interact with this program. I would record each of the kids making their own noises and have them interact with the app! It would be great to show the parents what music we have created!

I would really enjoy the ipad version. I am a college art student who has been playing music since I was in grade school. I use my ipad as a DJ tool to produce music and am really interested in this app as a new form of music creation. With all of the sounds that a college dorm provides I think I could really make some awesome mixes.

Bill Kim says:

I would make a fire engine sound board because I drive them for a living. That or record nerds raging in World of Warcraft because nothing like a grown man throwing a fit about a game.

Jooowjooow says:

monica ponder says:

my family would LOVE the iphone version. my 11 year old son has autism and is a one man band, a walking synthesizer, never ending, perpetually playing beat box machine. He constantly watches video clips of his favorite cartoon on the internet, not for the show itself, but so he can catch a beat of a sound that tickles his ear on my antiquated casio keyboard from 1989 that has a one syllable record feature that is spotty at best. This iphone app could free him from his endless play, pause, rewind, record, repeat efforts that fulfill an auditory sensory and creative need within him, yet continually frustrate him so, due to the inexact method and obsolete equipment he has to use to create the effects he desires. Please, if you want to free a young boy from technological constraints and unleash creativity beyond imagination, give us the free iphone app.
