iPhone Live 175: iOS 5 + iCloud

Apple has released iOS 5 and iCloud and Rene, Georgia, and Seth talk all about it. (Or try to, Apple almost broke the Internet with all the updates, and we had a hard time keeping the show up and running!) This is iPhone Live!

Did u know you can pull down a REMINDERS WINDOW from any screen? It also shows some notifications. It's a grey colored window. How do I pull it down?
Above the TIME on the black. Slide it down from there.

Doing an iCloud backup and it's projecting at 12 hours after being hooked up for an hour. Is this normal? Also, why has there been no fuss made over the fact that your videos that you shoot won't push to your other devices which means I still have to hook my phone up to my computer to download my videos?

    Georgia: KEEP your jailbreak....
Upgrading to IOS 5 has been 1) rough and bumpy for my iPad 2... Downloading problems.... resetting problems... wiping my iPad2 CELAN and doing a full restore from latest backup (on it's own) and then finally getting to IOS5..... 2) You got a LOT to do config wise when you finally get the download... Seth's highlighting 'notification' implementation is right on the money...
HERE'S MY BIGGEST AAARRRGGGGHHH.... Apple has gone back on it's commitment of grandfathering SL 10.6.8 users into iCloud for moving MobileMe stuff over. NOT having that feature will keep me from upgrading totally to the IOS 5 ecosystem..AND, the extra 20 GB of space for active MobileMe user accounts - NOT! I can't upgrade to Lion... not enough hardware... So Find My iPad in the cloud does NOT work... backing up to the cloud is astonishingly slow - that's out.
    More to come....
