How about capturing iPad content & interaction to my Mac via the HDMI cable? Any ideas on how to do this? (Should be great for your video reviews!)

The biggest point is "#1 connect the cable to you device FIRST" I was pulling my hair out thinking my jailbroken phone stop working. Not to mention buying a lot of junk apps trying to get it to work. Noosy has a straight hdmi connect that works great. No way to charge your phone while playing though.

You need an apple digital av adapter and an HDMI cable.

This is what you need :
Apple Digital Av adapter : http://amzn.to/1daj04q
HDMI cable : http://amzn.to/Xku7C1

Then just connect the adapter in your iphone. Connect the HDMI cable on the adapter and the other end to your TV's Hdmi slot. On your remote control press on source and select the HDMI slot that you used.

If all my videos are in the Video app on an iPod or iPad, will the Composite adapter still work to play video and sound on the tv?

The new 2.1 version of Slingplayer Mobile states it now supports component video out from the iPhone. I would imagine that, with the A/V Component Cable, I can plug my iPhone into an HDTV with component inputs and watch any Slingplayer program. There are minimum bandwidth requirements of 500kb/sec, I believe. Is that good enough for 3G?

Have you actually tried air video on iphone 4 (or ipad )that can really output Video and audio through the brand new Digital AV adapter?
This function means a lot to me but this article posted before this cable actually on market. Can anyone have this cable help to test it and post the result? Many thanks!

perfect! i was looking for a way to play movies off of our ipad through the dvd player in our expedition. thanks!!!

Can I play games through my iPad using a HDMI cable adapter then choosing one of HDMI ports on my tv to view it .

Great post.
Can you browse the internet on old type tube tv's (red, white, yellow jacks) with an Ipod touch, or does the picture get distorted?

I tried to use the composite cable to watch video on my iPhone 3GS. It only played with YouTube and my own videos with audio and video. The other apps like Netflix and so on played audio only. Is there somewhere in settings that I could change that.

Did you ever figure this out? I am trying to figure out how to plug my iPhone into my car tv/DVD player so that my kids can watch Netflix on our road trip. Any advice would be much appreciated!!
Thanks!

I have a insignia tv I can plug it up it doesnt charge or anything so how do I get it to get on the tv

Tremendous things here. I am very satisfied to peer your post. Thank you so much and I am looking ahead to touch you. Will you kindly drop me a e-mail?

Backwards? Linux is a modern constantly-updated kernel/OS, every bit as advanced as iOS. Just because it ALSO includes a command-line interface in addition to a GUI doesn't keep it in the same ballpark or even league as an obsolete system like DOS! I don't extensively use any Apple operating system, so I would never presume to speak about them with any kind of implied authority...

Will this adapter also work for connecting my iPhone 4S to my DVD system in my vehicle? It is a rear DVD attached to the 'ceiling' of the car but the connecting cords for sound and video are under the passenger seat connecting the DVD disc box. I would assume that i would be able to use those cords to stream video off my phone rather than inserting a disc into the separate player. Reason for this question is the this DVD system doesn't work with all DVD disc's and is very touchy. Also we have wireless headsets, if the answer is yes to my initial question, then will the wireless headsets still pick up the sound for the video stream off my phone?

There's no yellow video connector on mine? There's a green one a blue one and a red/orange kind of coloured one.any help?
